Its all up to you. I dont think it will make much of a difference. This one of those debate things.

24 is recommended if clone was pulled from a flowering mother. This is to insure revert to veg. Also flowering clones take a lil longer to root.

We will be completing week 3 of flowering on Tuesday. Is it too late to take cuttings from the lower branches?
My first clone were about one week into flower. it' would be worth a try.

wow, you found a thread I started a year ago, cool.

How long does the cutting have to be and how many nodes in total in order to be cloned??? trying to clone this flowering plant about 3 weeks into flowering..flowered early so the internode branches arent very long..

trying to take a cutting from the lower branches because cant do it from the top anymore

18/6 or 24/0....

If all you are doing is cloning/vegging for 1 to 4 weeks then it really does not matter which you use. Both methods work just fine for short veg cycles. If you are cloning/vegging longer than 4 weeks then you want to go 18/6. Once a seedling or clone gets around a month old then darkness becomes truly beneficial to the plants growth and overall health. It is needed at that point.
