I use all BC products and they for me have been amazing really easy to work with and do not change the ph at all. I currently have 8 plants that are 4 feet tall 5th week of flowering. I have the ppm at 2000 right now and this is the first time that I have been able to get the ph this high. I am using a 1000 watt light and that’s just my small grow. BC has a three feed process really easy to follow. BC boost, grow, bloom, and for boosters; B1 red, Magcal, Sugar Daddy, lastly Awesome Blossom. My yields come at about 2 oz on a standard size plant 2 ½ feet tall after 8 weeks of flowering. Don’t get me wrong it took a lot of mistakes and dead plants to get to what I have now. My current mother is a clone from Orange Kush. Her mother was 2 years old and a tree, she ended up get a horrible disease that I couldn’t cure fast enough. My mothers are in dirt obviously, I have a ebb and flow system currently with 30 plants. I also have 4 plants in a drip, and lastly 4 bubble buckets.

different strain can handle more or less ppm's and you can slowly built the ppm's up as you have found. Next time you have a plant that has a major problem mix R/O----NEEM-----H2O2-----combined sulphur, Dip the whole root ball in the solution---If the plant has any chance at all this is like a massive dose of antibiotics to the root zone.

We'll it looks like were off to a good start on this thread---They're so many products out there but one thing that seems to be contestant is that the manufacturers recommended doses are almost always to high----Do they care about our plants or are they just trying to get us to buy as much fert as they can possibly sell us-----whats your opinion and experience on the subject?

I think the latter!!! I used GH according to lable (first grow-newbie!) and i burned the crappola out of my babes!!!!!
BTW: been giving them just plain ph water since for 2 days how much longer till i should start em back on nutes?

Hard to really say as my plants are recovering and just starting to grow again. I'm hoping to start seeing some good solid growth in the next couple of weeks. I'm only using the ProBlend Grow right now and supplementing with a small dose of an organic Epsom Salt.

I'm hoping to start flowering in 3 to 4 weeks and I'm planning on using the ProBlend Bloom during that period.

Hoping for good results.... but you never know... hell I don't even know if I have any girls at this point. This first grow has really been kicking my ass.... so many problems... so much to learn. :?

Dido. I'm in the same exact boat as you Fl girl. If i can solve one problem there's another right behind it. Sometimes all the research just confuses me more!!!! Good luck. I'm trying to recover from some serious nute burn. How did you go about it?
thanks a lot!

The best bet for nute burn is a thourough flush, flush 2x the container size with plain pHed water.

Immediately after give a 1/4 dose of the feeding.

The easiest way to stay problem free is to purchase a pH, and a TDS meter.

And.

To learn as much as you can before you try to grow, so you won't have to trouble-shoot.

Keep it simple

And don't overwater, give them enough for some run-off, and wait until they need watered again, they will be really light, even a 5gal bucket is really light when they need water, otherwise you can barely lift them.:leaf:

i would flush with 3x amount of water, and maybe go down 200 ppms i would not go done a 1/4 nute strength, but then again ive only lightly burnt my plants still a 1/4 is wau too much u mean if your a 1000 ppms, flush then go to 250? do u like having all yr good taken away from you

Well, in order to recover the quickest, you want to have barely any food in there, they'll have enough to live just fine, but the high amount of moisture with low nutrient will rinse them out, when they need to be fed again go back to normal strength.

I'm saying after you flush the soil, put about 200 ppms of nutrient in there... With tap water it'd be somewhere around 300. Instead of just using plain water

Definately don't flush and immediately go full strength on the nutes.

A lot of people will just flush and not put any nutes back into the soil, but I find a light feeding after a good flush helps them recover the best.

Also there is a good product from Advanced called Revive, it's a foliar application as well as a feeding application.

It helps with stress from overfeeding, excess trimming, and a lot of other common deficiencies.

i feel your are wrong, but thats my personal opinion, after u flush,,just flush with ph'd water..and dont add any chemicals, until the pot is sufficiantly dried. There are plenty of nutes in the plants leaves and what not to get it through the next 4 5 days without going nute deficiant.i would flush then put its food back after its sucked up all that fresh water

Yeah, that's what I always did, until someone told me to add a light feeding immediately after the flush and they'll bounce back faster... And they do.

Try it before you knock it.

Both work well... I haven't had to do an emergency flush in a long ass time, but someone recommended giving them a light feeding... With all the beneficials of Advanced Nutrients it makes a bit more sense, I guess I'll elaborate.

If you're using beneficials like Humic, Fulvic, and Enzyme adding them after a flush will help the plants a lot. There isn't any food in these, they just aid in nutrient uptake, and decompose dead matter...

Last time after I needed to flush, I added the Sensizym, Humic/Fulvic at normal strength, a light dose of Micro, and a light dose of the base nutrient... They sprang back just fine...

This might be more of a pH issue than anything? I'm not too sure...

But yeah, definately treat the new seedlings well, they'll outgrow the hurt little ones fast.

i think advanced nutrients has great adervtising,,,but is grossly overpriced,,they make you many things you dont need there are many other nutrient lines just as good half the price,,but if you like spending hundreds then go for advanced nutrients homey

by far the biggest joke is on youtube or wherever they have the "nutrient challenge" where they test yield and potency of AN against other product lines.they show AN has the highest thc % and yield....umm Advanced nutrients is sponsering this test,,it is there test,,im sure there results are legit, give me a break,if they had other resullts they would not have shared them, because it means there product isnt worth the price

The biggest misconception on Advanced being expensive is you don't think you're getting your money's worth for the amount you get...

You see, Open Sesame-FoxFarm, and BudBlood-Advanced Nutrients are pretty much the same thing, except the dose of open sesame is 5 times the amount of the BudBlood... reason being, the Advanced products are more concentrated.

You don't have to use the entire line of their nutes, and beneficials to have great results.

to compared Advanced to FoxFarm, I'm doing it right now.

I'm using the entire FoxFarm line plus Superthrive.
vs.
Advanced Nutrients 2part, BudBlood, BigBud and Overdrive.

Essentially the same as using OpenSesame, Beastie Budz and Chaching, no advantages from DrHornby. I'm stoned and tired... and for some reason you constantly seem arguementative... maybe it's your gorillaz avatar? :leaf:
