***Official Nutrients Thread***

"Why you running a 50 gal rez? Seems like a lot of water and nutrients to buy." I am running 28 plants on bloom side. Veg is 14 plants, plus my 2 mother plants. So with a 50G res, I am putting 7-10gals a day.

Not sure what happened to the post in between my last comment about why 50G res.

But anyways, here it is again. Looking at the forums i ran across a great link to plant health issues, great pics included. What i noticed was I had N,Mag,Ca deficiences from what I am reading. Everything is pointing to a ph above 6.0 being the problem. Magnesium, Calcium both say they are locked out above 6.0.

So I went and lowered my ph to 5.7. My nute levels are at 960ppm (PBP Bloom, L.Karma, Sweet). I will watch closely to see a difference in plant health. The sad part is 13 of them are within 20days of being finished and so much unhealthy look to them. The Purple Diesel is looking so tastey along with the Nuken, but everything else looks pretty beat up (leaf wise).

This could be the exact reason that running my Veg side at 6.0ph was not showing signs of problems, but the or 2 after they were put into bloom side they instantly started showing all different signs. Down turned tips, Spotting on leaves, Browning and "Burnt" look on leaves closer to the bottom. Malformation and crumpling of smaller leaves mid to lower plant...

The buds are decent and stinky and thick with crystals, so hopefully for the next 10days or so they get nutes they are happy :( The forums here are great, and I appreciate any input.

Glad you figured it out. Hope they turn the corner and start looking healthy as can be.

Forgot to mention before... welcome to RIU.

ugh..

Fox farms is not considered the best nutes by everyone on this forum.

H202 kills beneficial root bacteria, don't use it unless you're having root rot problems or such.

Why would you use miracle grow over botanicare? Better yet, why would you use miracle grow at all? If you're not seeing the results you want you're either doing something wrong or have unrealistic goals.
thank you!

I would say FFOF & Happyfrog are more popular than the bottled line of nutes foxfarms offers. I am in love with the soils, just not the nute line.

ive recently noticed alot of stores not carry humboldt nutrients and am wondering why are they not all there hyped up to be ive been told by alot of good growers to use humboldt its wat they use and now people are telling me to use dyna gro and other nute products wich direction should i be going in
