maybe this is a good way to set this up----
Miracle grow soil
2 clones off very healthy pot o gold mother.
vegged 3 weeks in 2.5gallon pots under 400 watt MH using sensi GROW A&B.
transplanted into 10 gallons pots and placed outdoors from july-october.
while using sensi bloom A&B, liquid karma, sweet, and later on bud blaster and big bud.
this was my end result ; i wasn't the happiest, i was hoping for more, bigger, fuller whiter trichlones, the smell really sweet when trimming, and for the month of curing, but the smell was not what i was hoping for. the taste was always good though, had a unique taste, which was fruity at first, but ended up going away some time after curing was over..

Looked at you pics--What is that light?----the 2 week old plant was a clone so how old is the clone from when it was cut? what is the medium your growing in? Are you planning on using RO or tap water?----As far as the feeding you should give the plant a well balanced feed with all major/minor/ and trace elements--I would try to get the micro's in a chealeted form for immediate absorption. Your feed PH should be balanced after you mix in nutes to 6.3. and your feed ppms should be around 400 for the first feeding of a clone.

my friend has tried purple maxx and i think he liked it, didnt know it had that effect tho. maybe ill give that a try, that sounds very tempting.
pot o gold clone was cut and put into a special tray for 2 weeks, then vegged for 2 weeks. and flowered outdoor. medium was some miracle grow soil. using tap water. ph balance was 6.2 i believe when it was done.

seedling started in miracle grow, and after 2 weeks after sprouting and being outdoor 12/12, we transplanted it from a red cup into a big ping pong ball container using foxfarm ocean forest soil. i am ph balancing the water to 6-6.5 trying to be closer to 6.5 because of my use of soil.

I'm not sure exactly how to find the right amount and of what would be the major minor and trace elements. example of a micro? and what advantages are there?
"As far as the feeding you should give the plant a well balanced feed with all major/minor/ and trace elements--I would try to get the micro's in a chealeted form for immediate absorption"

I have never had a ppm meter, and i have never seen one used either, so im not sure how i would measure that. I am using tap water right now, but i have a RO system at a friends and a resevoir to load the water in which i will be doing shortly. all clones are done by a friend so i just get them after vegg and flower them.

Ocean forest is a great soil and need little nutes for the first couple of weeks---since you are using tap water and soil there really isn't a need for micros's to be added unless a def shows up. The FFOF is ph'd at 6 to 7 so feed in the lower ranges of 6 to 6.3. A ppm meter is not necessary but is a great tool to have when measuring feeds/runoff/water source and one of the best tools to have when your having problems that need to be diagnosed---there's lot of cheap tds/ppm/ec meters out their and can be found at WALMART/LOWES/HYDROPONICS/FISHSTORES. If you every need micro's------LILLY MILLER transplant with B1 is great------iron/manganese/ect... chealeted form allows immediate plant absorption without a set PH(can be absorbed at any PH)---hope this helps...

So I was fortunate to know someone that gave me all of their nuets, but I am unsure as to whether or not I have everything I need before I start. I took pictures of everything I have plase take a look and let me know what you think.

Although I just heard about the Lucas Formula and I am debating on purchasing the Flora Micro and Flora Bloom.

Thank You

Matt :weed:

looks like your ready to rock--if you use RO you will need cal/mag plus-----I read in depth about the lucas formula and I don't buy it!!! Plants need certain nutrients in quantities for different phases of growth and the lucas formula doesn't cut it---that's just my personal opinion and I have never tried it but until someone I know has with success then I wouldn't recommend it. I'm opened minded to new technics but that method throws a major curve ball at everything I've ever done or taught(2-cents).:hump:

thanks

couple of problems----1. The pot is too big for seedling growth ----Plants roots sit in moisture to long--same as over watering----you need to start out in smaller pots for seedling growth---Moisture is hard to regulate in big pots with small plants. 2. Your soil PH is off---What brand are you using??? You need to check the soil run-off PH.

Id like to hear from someone who has used the old Miracle Grow Patio and 1/2 tsp. epsone salts as a veg nute. for hydro. I have seen this recipee way too many times in forums and throught the web for there not to be somethin to it. Suposedly, Miracle Grow Patio food has the right kind of nitrogen, "NITRATES" not "NITRITES" and contains most all the macro and micro nutes required for marijuana to grow in veg. It is just suplimented with epsone salt for extra magnesium and sulphur. If anyone has used this, please hollar at me, im just really curious. :weed:

Hey all, here's what I am using first time out. 7 days and things are great.

DM Advance Grow A+B
DM Advance Flower A+B
DM Max Grow
DM Max Flower
DM Silica
DM Potash+
DM Zone
DM Liquid Light (foliar)
DM Penetrator Gold (foliar)

TechnaFlora MagiCal

I really like the Zone, it is a root zone enhancer, or something. Anyways, my roots look great and the water seems nice and clear, with extra bubbles.

Also, since I haven't flowered ever I haven't tried the Flower nutes yet. But the grow stuff works great (i my opinion).

ok dudes...im a coco coir/perlite grower...for bloom,I have some kick ass nutes...A.N Monkey Juice Bloom,Bud Blood,Big Bud,OverDrive, mollases,& A.N B-52......Im set for the flowering mode,as my base nutreitns is the coco coir specific one..however for vegging,I have some "GOOD" nutrients, just nothing to fancy...

Alaska Fish Fert 5-1-1 SUPERTHRIVE MAXI CROP LIQUID SEA WEED As you can see, theyr good, organic,ol' grandmas type nutrients..however since Im growing in coco coir,I bought epsom salt from walgreens..just how EXACTLY DO I USE IT???? since of course coco coir absorbs one thing more than the toher, and MG problems are too common when using normal hydro nutes for coco coir..any help man???

Personally I've never tried DM, but I've heard good things...
--------------------

Crazyoutlaw-

Since you're using all high quality AN stuff, just get some SensiCal... Instead of using Epsom. It's affordable, and a good supplement.

I haven't tried the monkey juice, I did grow in coco/perlite before monkey juice came out with the 3 part, and results weren't so good...

I did it because coir blocks are much easier to move in than bales of peat...

Sounds like a good setup.

I'm starting my Coco coir grow in a week or less VHO is good for veg from what I've researched. This is what i'm using through-out their life cycle.

VHO is a great veg booster, it's good for mothers coming out of a cutting session too...

The only things I see missing from your setup Jeffdog, Carboload and Sensizym...

Sensizym might not be as necessary as the Carboload... Good luck :leaf:

Yeah I have 50g of Carbo load that'll last me 1 harvest with the feeding schedule I'm gonna use (well the last dose might be a tad short but thats ok :weed:) Gonna order some soon though, and some Sensizym too. Wish I could have their whole line of products lol
