Devil's advocate; they absolutely should be getting close to that or else they're wasting a lot of potential power by only drawinng 32 watts per cob. I mean from a business point of view its easier to sell a 250 watt light at, lets say 1.8ppf/w , than a 125 watt at 2.5 ppf/w at the same price. It seems to me they made significant sacrifices to hit what ever design criteria they set out with.

To me they're an example of a small commercial maker doing it "the right way".

I wonder if a sphere is the best way to test cobs being that they are not lighting up a complete circle like a hid lamp does?
Im not sure exactly how the sphere works but if its measuring a 360 degree circle it (cobs)should in theory test lower than hid but maybe not?

The direction of light is irrelevant because white highly reflective coating with diffuse reflection scatters and distributes light evenly throughout the sphere.

I wonder how a powerful laser beam would look in the sphere,like if you were in there waving it about like a light sabre.

I've always thought of this. I wish there were a video of it, though it would probably just look like the whole sphere is illuminated with no definable beam.

It seems so, but why didn't Leoled just give a Yes or NO answer? I'm not the only one to ask them too...............the data sheets, calcs, flat pane "throw a dart on the wall" measurements agree with you, I'm just starting to wonder why no one has confirmed the #s yet after years (cxa/cxb) on the grow light market?

when it comes to adjustable spectrums these guys have always been on top, the new Fiona/osram fixture could be in the mix down the road....

the grove facility hit it out of the park with these panels on their first run(32% thc on 1 strain)..........like I said before "white" cob's aren't going anywhere due to efficiency+ and will always have a purpose in general lighting, but in horticulture a tunable spectrum is highly appealing vs a fixed imo........does it matter for cannabis?well ouput,ouput,output has been the winning formula forever...........sooooooooooooo what if you can have both?

Budmaster have several different panels out. I like the xg version, which is their baseline model. Very good for vegging plants.

The od and god versions have had lots of upset customers with poor performance and unhappy plants, these are expensive too. I paid over $1200 and was proper pissed with the led's piss poor performance. Even Paul at Budmaster has admitted many people just don't get on well with them. The diy white cobs from other grows on here, look much better than any Budmaster god or od led grow I've seen, it's whether Budmaster has finally got his shit together and made some good lights?!

I haven't seen a full grow using Budmaster led od or god, where plants remain healthy without light stress, toasted leaves or bleached buds. I have done a few full grows with them too.

I would like to try the new Budmaster white leds, but will wait for more proof that they ain't just another hyped up led panel 1st.

If it's a case of keeping them 2m away again 'for maximum coverage' or the truth - 'so the plants don't die'

Either way, I'm getting tired of all the Bullshit from led companies. More lies than the bible and government put together.

When a comp. has ALL happy customers w/ ALL happy plants, w/ GREAT yields & quality @ DIY prices, as well as more documented successful grows. THAT comp. is busy selling lights & returning e-mails.
Not sweating a web-site that is being perfected, which takes time. Word of mouth is selling more lights then these other companies web-sites & BS claims.
