Why the hatred for Autoflower strains?

I've gone through a lot of auto strains, the potency has been low in all of them. The nicest auto I've tried was Black Creek Gardens Spyder, purple grapey Apollo 13 auto, still have a few hundred seeds.

Im running two autos because i am a newb and new to growing plants other than palm trees.

My next two will not be autos, but will be fem seed.

I think this was a natural progression. Autos sounded easy, but the way I vulture over them i could easily run any schedule I want. I look forward to the perceived step up in difficulty from autos to photo.

If nothing else i am getting some experience under my belt and dialing in my setup to a degree. I had some serious issues with my light timer early on.

I look forward to seeing the differences first hand.

come on bro, you cant knock it till you at least give it a try! Ive smoked autos exclusively and they have just as much kick as 90% of the clone onlies around my area (Norcal) you should at least try some autos before bashing them.

You just lost all your credibility with that statement. I have smoked 20 different kinds of autos ..I toss some outside the last couple summers.. Unfortunately they are prone to bud rot with the extreme heat n humidity in summer here..this year I'm gona try more shaded area or shade cloth.

The best auto I've smoked was auto mazar grown under LEDs in a closet by a friend. Great bag appeal smoked good..but nowhere near as good as the photos I grow.

It does suck, but I'll keep putting them out there every summer in hopes for a bumper crop in mid summer.. I follow these auto threads in hopes of somebody hitting a home run on autos outdoors .. I'll spend a 100$ again this spring on auto seeds n start em indoors n move em out in late may.

I haven't gone through all the post on this thread but why all the hate on auto? It' s bullshit shortcut for people who don't want to do the work in selection. You take something DANK and cross it with a Rudi which isn't dank and waters it down just so it finishes early. Really? And this a good thing? lol Keep the autos over in Europe where they don't know any better!

I have to use auto's outdoors where I am at. Have not had a photo make it yet with out succumbing to rot or just not finishing.. Indoors its a different story. I dont hate 'em, I just dont prefer 'em and I'd rather not grow 'em.
