Ok so i did the interview i met there "coordinator" @ a nearby Starbucks and he asked me the basic interview questions then he asked me if i was opposed to traveling and furthering my MMJ education and then we drove out to the plant wich was another 20 min away so it would be 50min drive for me. The plant is located in what i would describe a small airport with them aircraft garages they have about two foot ball fields size wearehouse. And we walked in he explained what they offer and how they are looking to operate wich is very strict would have camaras watching you all the time and security post. Also would require to pat you doun before and after you leave work.
Well we walked in and i couldn't picture in my head how all the plants, lights and fans would be situated theres enough room for 10ft plant and about 100 of them it was just so big and empty.
He did ask me about sertain techniques that i know regarding growing and harvest. But nothing formal that i would of expected to be asked.
Now this was very interesting because we came to a different part of the plant where we dint enter but he did hint that it was there as the start up. I was trying to listen or see or smell anything but all i could hear is fans going and the usuall grow room noise. So i think they already have started.
So heres the kicker.. they have different positions available but i would have to get a degree in Everything regarding MMJ.. i asked what was available and they said that as soon as i get my degree wich is a seminar that they are teaching i could apply for any position availiable.
Oh and the seminar is 4 days for 890$ and you would have ur choice of positions still available.

So i was like wtf? I thought i had applied for dispensary or the grow tech.
And so i was like if i pay for this course you sure that i would get a job as a tech or dispensary bud tender?
So he told me that the jobs that require advanced agricultural degree had already been taken and they brought 9 growers some from Colorado and California.
And that i would be working under them.
I thought like what if i pay for this degree and end up trimming for 12.00 ph. So i told him that i would definetly get the degree and reapply but i had to discuss it with my wife.
Then came the hard sell to get me to enroll now, wich really turned me off and make me think twice. But still thinking about it there still from what he said was another 35 ppl to higher.

So what u guys think i should do??

Buzzkill.
Seriously, unless they are paying for the class/ seminar I would tell them to shove it. Seems like they pulled you in under false pretenses. 1.5 hrs. a day on the road, too. Naw, walk away.

Dude! That is obviously a fucking scam. You didn't see any plants at all? And they want you to pay almost a grand??? If they we're serious at all about hiring you they would perhaps deduct the course fee out of your pay, or more likely, you wouldn't be charged at all. It's like those fake sweepstakes - "You're a winner! Please send $49.95 to collect your millions!" No way, don't fall for it, and I would report that outfit. Who knows how many people's money they've already taken...

Sounds like the company sells education classes for nearly a grand a pop, not so much a grow production facility. They viewed you as a potential seminar client, but pretended to be an employer to lure you in.

Ok, we have a consensus. If you actually gave him your CC, before witnessing your wife's raised eyebrows (and us). Stop payment now. Then find a friend... A big ugly tough friend who actually likes you (if lucky that may describe your wife) and call the guy (if that is possible) and tell the guy you have 3 more weed-knowledgable friends who wanted to sign up for the seminar. When he shows up, have your friend, Trog, surprise him with a full-nelson as you slip his wallet out of his pocket. Take a picture of his drivers license and write down his real name and address. Pull out a credit card and get a clear pic of the front and back. Tell Trog to let him go. Give him his wallet. Tell him you expect a full credit to follow on your card, as you now know where he lives and eats. Take a picture of him, leave and go buy Trog breakfast.

Everyone is telling you this is a scam, because it is. They mislead you and then attempted the hard sell to get money from you. Why would you ever want to work for them? I'm guessing your job would be soliciting other saps to attend the seminar. Please don't give them any money.
