Controversial Defoliation Increases Marijuana Yields

But you're "looking for love in all the wrong places". There is nothing factual or verifiable in cannabis forums, only conjecture and anecdotal evidence. May I suggest you seek a non-partisan educational source like a university?
Dear Uncle Ben,
Thank you for your reply, please, please direct me towards an appropriate sources of love!

Unkle Buck has quoted an information brochure by the University of California, Division of Agriculture and Natural resources regarding fruit tree pruning (http://homeorchard.ucdavis.edu/8057.pdf) that I will apply to my lemon tree outside. Perhaps you have a similarly well produced and easy to understand source that can comprehensively support your assertion that in all possible permutations of variables defoliation is detrimental to our botanical best friend cannabis?

I am not arguing with your basic tenants opposing defoliation a priori - but, please show me the pudding! There seem to be enough anecdotal fan boys of this technique (who are all growing indoors and using artificial lighting, and perhaps certain cultivation techniques which I believe you do not utilise such as SCROG) - to warrant a proper discussion - instead of the horseshit slinging that usually accompanies this topic and obliterates any rational discussion...

The round earth theory prevailed because there is an overwhelming factual base based on observation that supports it. That still doesn't prevent the people of the book arguing the fact. I don't know who's who in this argument as no-one has yet convinced this scientifically minded horse one way or the other with a rigorous and well designed head to head comparison. I am not volunteering my precious few plants for this exercise... but if there is technique out there proven to help me grow better I am willing to entertain it!

I dabble in pruning/ selective defoliation and have had great success, I could explain my practices here but I'd rather sit back and watch this thread unfold a little more before throwing out my opinions again (there was another thread exactly like this one that will have some informative information on the practice, from my experiences.)

i would like to hear. i don't dabble in pruning lowers i 100 percent do it every time. i do it at the 2 week point of flower, and never after day 21. then i move floor fans and coast an awesome breeze through there.

you are braver than i. they get their haircuts before they get sent to finishing school in this household.

just for funsies, i stuck a blue dream into my grow room completely unkempt, branches farting out every which way all over the place from top to bottom. can't wait to see how much more annoying it makes my life at trim time for the reward of a few more larfy airbuds.

I'm going to let you all in on a forgotten advanced technique called "tug test". (Useless leaves fall off on their own...)

I'm thinking of making an advanced thread on it.

So Ill chime in
This last grow I tryd removing all fan leaves on one plant . There was only two fans on top . And to my surprise it was the best plant in the crop. Super stinky. Like stanky stink. And wound up pulling 6 ozs off of her .. In a 5 gallon bucket that was only half full.
I also had one I didnt do any defoliating on and it turned out to be almost 6oz also so I think it goes both ways

Everyone's got there own tactics man whys it gotta be a big fucking debate.

You grow this way he grows that way I grow my way. I don't tell you how do to shit . He don't tell me how to do shit .and it works .
I think yall just need To be open minded . Try new shut see if it works
