I was going to wait until tomorrow to take pics, but my ladies were lookin bangin today so I brought out the cam and took some pics. One week's growth is crazy!!

the 150 watter is bright so everything looks yellow haha...sorry!

they're pretty deep in those buckets.. if it bushes out you might have trouble getting air to circulate under the canopy and you could run into powdery mildew like I did. looks like we have very similar grows going.. check out link to my hempy grow in sig.

best of luck to you. i'm interested in one of those 150w hps you got.

FORMULA42-Thanks for the input and I will definitely check out your grow. I do see what you are saying about the air circulation but I have yet to have a problem with it. The airflow with the fan set up I have is real well and I am going to be adding another portable fan very soon, plus I check them everyday. Next time around if I do hempys again I will do it right and fill em to the top. I am thinking of doing a DWC set up next time. BTW--the 150watt hps is a great investment...mixed with some cfl's and it is perfect!

Finally someone with a 150W HPS and built-in ballast. What's the deal.. how are the temps in your space? How close can your plants get?

It's been my assumption that 150W doesnt have NEARLY the heat output of a 400W
Long story short, give me the rundown on your bulb and the upkeep it entails.

yeah what kind of temps and humidity you have going? my powdery mildew problem came from high humidity... my fault. i'm definitely gonna need to get one of those 150watters

The 150 watter is amazing. I was first going to get a 400 watter but I was reading about the heat issues then I was looking at the 250 watter but I decided since Im only going to do is 3 plants tops I wouldn't need it, so I got the 150w. Super lightweight and pretty small so its easy to move around. Got it for $90 at my local hydro store and I am probably going to buy another one. It runs super cool, in fact it runs cooler than all those cfl's I was using. You have to be just about touching the bulb in order to feel the heat it puts off. As far as distance from the plants to the light, I was reading that 10 inches is a good distance but my tallest bud sites are 6 inches away right now and I haven't had a single problem with burn from the light or anything like that. My grow room is a fairly big walk in closet so I have yet to have a problem with it getting too hot and right now the temps are perfect (I don't have a thermometer though). I don't live in a high humidity area either so that is one of the least of my worries. During the summer months I think I may pick up a portable a/c unit. We shall see.

Thank you. Im getting anxious but time is flyin by so I will manage. I ordered a DWC kit a couple days ago for my next batch. I'll be posting more pictures soon!

buds look nice for only a month! :D and dude inside that bowl, looks like it has that white powder thats on donuts!!! GNARLY!!! i never seen that!

My reggie plant turned hermie. I dont know how but we caught it early enough so I dont believe it was able to pollinate my sensi star plant yet. I checked it for a good 30 minutes. So we chopped her down =(. Gonna trim it up and hang anyways haha.
