First time growing, hempy buckets / scrog (advice welcome)

I'm about 60 days in!

I'm growing in two tents - a 2x4x5 tent with a 4 foot T5 with 6 bulbs, 4" fan + carbon filter for smell and circulation, and a 3x3x6 tent with a 600 watt HPS, 6" fan + carbon filter. I'm growing in 5 liter hempy buckets with a 75% perlite / 25% vermicullite mix, and using Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow and Sensi Bloom. I've got a cheapo PPM meter and ph liquid, which means my ph bounces around some.

I'm growing 2 random bag seeds and 2 seedsman cream & cheese 1:1 CBD:THC seeds.

Bag seeds A & B sprouted in rockwool on 5/8 and are put under the light in a humidity dome.
Day 7: first set of leaves start to form. Feeding at 80ppm, humidity dome removed
Day 13: Cream & Cheese seeds pop and are put under the light in a humidity dome. Bag seeds have 3 sets of leaves & roots coming out of the bottom of the cube so are put into 5 liter hempy buckets, 75% perlite / 25% vermicullite
Day 16: removed the humidity dome from the C&C seedlings and they fell over; added more water and returned the dome. Bag seed has some yellowing leaves
Day 19: C&C are out of the dome, but the leaves are pointing straight up and growth is slow (in retrospect: too much light probably). Bag seed leaves are curled up.
Day 21: Moved the lights up higher and the plants are happier. Also started going higher on the ph levels (from 5.5 to 6)
Day 25: Got a dehumidifier which has dropped in room humidity from 70% to 50%. Bagseed A is growing faster than everything else, and is about 2 inches tall
Day 28 pictures:

Day 34: fed bagseed 500ppm, they both appear to have pistils so I may have lucked out with two ladies. I've been doing a bit of LST on the bagseeds to bush them out.

Day 36: Accidentally snapped the top off of bagseed A while trying to do LST; lost about two inches. Feeding around 700 ppm
Day 37: Got some burnt tips so I will drop back to 500 ppm feeding. C&C are at 300 ppm
Day 39: Got the flower tent set up and moved over bagseed A&B. A is at about 8 inches, and I put the scrog net right above it.
Day 42: Plants are growing incredibly fast under the HID; it's a gamechanger compared to the T5s. Removed some of the lower leaves from the bag seeds; some were yellow and some were brown. Seeing lots of white pistils from the bag seeds.
Day 44: Removed a bunch more leaves from the bag seeds and started them on 36 hours of darkness for the flip to flower. CBD seeds are still in vege
Day 47: CBD seeds have some brown spots, I'm gonna give CalMg and see if that helps.
Day 52: Fed bag seed at 1000ppm and took pictures; still training new growth under the scrog

Bag seed A & B; A is up top.

Day 54, move the C&C both over to the flower tent, group shot:

Day 60:

Clearly bagseed A and B are very different strains! A seems like she'll be a sativa dom, given her stretch, while B seems a lot more indica. I've been overfeeding a bit and burnt my tips.

Good job dude.. so a little over a gallon..
How often do you have to water/feed them?
A gallon sound too small; 3-5 would be more adequate.

In regards watering: buy one of these:

Other ways are lifting the pot, or stick ur finger in to the first knuckle; if dry, then water.
But with the gauge you can see how wet the soil is further down; I water when stuck in soil anbaut 2/3; if almost in red zone, then water...

I was wondering ...5 liters..around 1.3 gallons...I’m using 1 gallon and it’s growing very fast.. so come time to flower I was thinking transferring to around 3 gallons...and yeah I have that meter.. very handy

For watering, I've been doing roughly 2-3 days, usually lifting the pot though I'm trying to develop my sense for when the plants start looking thirsty and I my feeding them then.
You're right I didn't ask any specific questions ; more looking for people to notice issues. Like my pots possibly being too small.

My sativa is growing so much higher than e rrything else, which I'm worried is gonna hurt my yield - is there anything I can do about that? I've been keeping the light lower since most of the other plants are short

Change buckets now, so the roots can develop properly, in flower is too late.

Hey, no worries about your long intro; I was only pulling ur leg ;-)

I currently have one almost pure Sativa in my 3x3; anything more than the one wouldn’t be advisable.
Can I grow it on its own in one of your tents?
Scrogging might be an idea; when switching to flower, Sativas can more than double in size. Growing horizontally is a good option
I started a thread called Manifolding, asking a similar question to yours; got plenty of good advice

The other option would be to flip to flower sooner.

Mmm yeah I've got them under a scrog right now, you can see in the pictures that it started out at the same height then shot up during flower; it was bag seed so I didn't realize it was sativa. That's good to know about 1 sativa in a 3x3 since I'm about to start some new haze seeds. I was gonna do three of them but I guess I'll only do one for the space.

The one will do...

Pictures from today! Day 70:

C&C A flowering

Bag Seed A, it's like 14 inches above the screen now

Bag Seed B, you can see lots of brown spots on the leaves, which I'm assuming is because of a CalMag deficiency

I gave the bagseed water with no nutes today, and the run off was at 600ppm (from a base of 180ppm), so I definitely had a bit of salt build up. Will give nutes at +600ppm tomorrow. C&C got fed at +700ppm and is looking good

i would go down a bunch on your nutes for both bag seed plants from those pics. nute burn on most of the tips. might have nute lockout which is causing the cal issues (rust spots) on bag seed B

i'd flush those with plain water some more then start back on 300ppm nutes.

when you feed, are you making sure you get at least 10% runoff?

Ah word I will do that. I had been feeding to run off for awhile, but two weeks ago I had surgery which made it so I couldn't lift more than 5 pounds, which limited me to lifting half a gallon of water at a time (plus exhausted / healing all sorts of other stuff) that messed with my ability to take proper care of my babies. I was just cleared to lift more than 5 pounds, and I'm feeding properly again

Well, it's been an exciting week. My light has been getting darker and darker, so I ended up replacing the ballast and it is back to full brightness. However, the brighter light + the current heat wave (it's about 100 degrees where I am) mean the temp inside the tent is getting up to 90 degrees at points, so I'm worried about heat stress. Considering trying to air cool the hood, though I'm not sure how I'll make it all fit in the tent.

Fed this morning +600ppm, tested the run off and it was +800ppm, so definitely still a little hot. Really hope I can get these plants through the next 4-5 weeks to harvest. Will try to take pictures later

Day 80, new growth is mostly looking good, sativa bag seed is too close to the lights but there isn't really anything I can do about it at this point. It's also not really growing much bud.

I'm not sure what is going on with Bag Seed B - I think it may be revegging, cause the new leaves it is growing look real weird.

The cream & cheese is looking much better in comparison

And Bag seed A has stretched way above everyone else

Overdue update, flower day 57. I harvested a cola from Bag Seed B - I think it's pretty close to done, though I'm not seeing any amber trichomes.

Almost all the pistils are orange on Bag Seed B

Light nute issues with the CBD

One of my CBD plants, I can only water from above because I can't reach the pot. Some of the colas have visible nutrient residue on them - are they going to be safely smokeable? Or did I fuck up?
