I suggest to get away from autoflower as you progress and go for stability. Stability is the most important thing if you want to stay growing and not gambling.
Autos are too unpredictable, in my opinion, one will have an 1/8th and one will have a qp. I too love the excitement of growing autoflower but I find its just not worth it. Autos have a ton of potential in the future of marijuana and are being developed at rapid speed, there are some great strains out that put the earlier autos to shame.
Not trying to hate on the autoflower community, but I would leave autos to the people that want to develop their industry. Its so much more electricity and seems to take more time than actually just growing a crop from clone. You can get good producing indica cuttings, take a week to root them, 2-3 weeks to veg, and 9 weeks to bud and you are saving up to a month on growing (vs a 15-17 week auto).
You could take the saved time and veg longer to make even bigger plants and max out your potential. You will be using ~180 hours less of light a month also, that will pay for your nutrients or toward your veg light.
SOG phototype clones will have just as much weed as any auto, usually between 1-3 ounces (strain dependant) that you can consistently count on. Autoflowers have a fast growing image because of their auto attribute but they don't seem to be any faster without losing a lot of harvest.
Growing is just like any other tradeskill, you learn from your mistakes and you push on even through the downfalls.

A lot of strains are very weak in a sense that they hermie easy from small amounts of stress. When I started growing I was always ordering seeds and running into hermie strains that my room would stress out and collapse the grow.
Do you know any other growers in your area that have dependable strains you could get cuts from? Like a life long grower or a commercial grower?
Its hard to get people to give up their best strains, a good strain is priceless. Most growers have a strain they keep just for handing out to other growers, its kind of an accustom in the industry. Its usually a good commercial grade plant that produces on the heavier side. I suggest seeking something like this out.

What state are you located in? I know some growers in other states and there are folks from all over on here. Perhaps we can get you jump started with some cuts.
If you have an address thats not a grow, like a homey, it's possible to send cuts that aren't yet rooted and they aren't considered a plant yet, just a few grams of weed. Overnited cuts have best chances in the fall and spring when the weather is more mild.

Always, no matter how much you trust the source, be sure that you dip and quarantine any incoming genetics. And it's best to just take cuttings, no medium to hold bugs/spores. Then root the cuts yourself after dipping them.

I'd cut my losses on the pack. There are way more bad packs of beans than good packs. It's just how it is now days with so many breeders not even testing their gear before putting it out. Some stuff I have seen you just know, like they didn't even try to run these did they... smh
