tax weed ... again i dont see too much of a problem with this... cigs are taxed to fuck and you can still buy them at indian reserve no tax...

there would be people who just grow and sell without a biz .. so they wouldnt have to tax it ...

weed deserves to be legal. if a government is allowed to sell things that they can tax that will eventually kill you (cigarettes and alcohol), they should legalize a plant that not only has medical and restorative properties, but also is non-lethal with almost no side effects(unless you're already psycho).

my feelings

weed should be legal because it shouldn't have been illegal to begin with. only reason why it's illegal is because of racism and so called "reefer madness" for the most part. I find it sad that alcohol was illegal for the short period of time that it was, and it's actually way worse than weed, and weed has been illegal here since around 1936 right? It's just the label that has been put on weed that makes it scary. "a psychoactive substance", to the uneducated mind that shit makes you piss your pants. it sounds scary. no one wants to listen and be open minded about pot either.

it would be good for america if citizens were allowed to grow their own.
mexican drug cartels grow weed on federaly protected land in national parks. then they sell the weed to people in america and the money goes where? mexico.
so if people had thier own stash, that cash would go to actual taxable things like socks and microwave ovens and gas and even charities like the red cross and the salvation army. if we werent buy9ing weed, we would have an extra $400 a month in spending cash, or cash we could keep in banks so they could make money with it by lending it to people. one of the main reasons: whoever wants to smoke weed does it anyway, the war on drugs is a huge failure and a huge waste of my tax dollars. cops in many states are now mandated to give lowest priority to marijuana crimes, and in Cali, when i lived there, the cops never ever have taken my weed when ive been searched. they gave me my weed and my pipe back and let me drive away. sure it could be taxed at the state level, and most people will buy it rather than grow their own (this is using the sale and tax of beer as a model. sure you can make your own beer, but isnt easier to go to the store and buy some?) it's easier. and just like soy, weed can be used to a myriad of other ways, from polymers to textiles and paper.
it is an easily renewable resource that is being not just underutilized, but it is being actively villified by the greedy and the foolishly short-sighted.

Heh... I have never really been messed with leaving a club, and I'm in Los Angeles, CA.

Medical / Decrim ...... I'll continue to grow my own regardless... Nothing mass produced is every as good as handcrafted.
