Why is Mexican mj getting so dang potent?

Is anyone else getting really high off this recent stuff? Two weeks ago I was getting really stoned with what was being shipped. And 2 weeks before that i was getting a stone with paranoia-like undertones. The effects between them are like night and day...just what the hell are they shipping to us?!

Also..how old is this weed? It looks brownish and really packed together, so much so that it looks like its got naturally occuring hash chunks going on?

p.s. I planted the ones prior to the stoney/paranoia ones n they look like indicas (very short n wide). Im currently germinating this wacky stuff see if its more sativa based.

How does it stack up against the good stuff. I've heard some horrible things about that mexican stuff, kind of makes me glad i live on the other side of the world

Because they don't grow the shit then hope the border anymore, they hope the border and grow the shit, recent busts in our national forest shows that.

I live in Arizona so we get a lot of Mexico weed around here. I have never gotten a decent bag of Mexico weed ever. It has always been either a chunk of a solid brick, nasty tasting, super seedy or all of the above. The good stuf is either coming from Cali or locally grown. I wont by dirt/Mexico weed 1 because I am a Medical patient and 2 it supplies the cartels with more money.

Man I live in the 209, shit back in 08 was the last time I seen weed from mex.I use to but 1/4 pound for $120.Had some good mex, but most of the time it wasn't the best.

I grew some mex seed, and that was the wost grow I ever had.

Living near Mexico has not prevented me from getting Grade AAA bud...I just don't buy bud from Mexico, plain and simple. Your statement makes no sense in that regard.

Maybe they figured out that they need to separate the males from the females finally

The paranoia-inducing high from sativas is correlated with harvesting too early. I wish research was possible, because it's an interesting conjecture. I'm convinced. And it doesn't surprise me when picturing an outdoor grow, machine harvested at the first sign of mature buds.
Compare that to a tent grow with 3 plants and a 30X microscope finding the exact moment to cut... There's a world of difference in the few days between clear and cloudy trichomes.

I don't imagine a 40-acre mexican sativa grow having somebody checking the flowers with a microscope to figure out the precise moment to harvest each and every flower

I've never come across the worst of the worst mexi brick weed (brown town) but I have seen some decent mexi mids that would get you high for an hour tops and then you'd have to keep toking more and more to keep the buzz. I wish they had pocket microscopes, underbelly!

The Mexican stuff thats super potent - probably shipped with crack.

Cheap weed is strong, til you start using the strong stuff all the time, and then you realize your cheap weed was just that...cheap weed...that is what happened to me anyway...I smoked regs and thought they were just the bees knees...but you can't find crappy weed seeds for sale, and the bag seeds I would get every little bit always grew into terrible sickly little things...So I bought some good seeds and never looked back.

Thanks guys...idk, i've tried a couple of designer strains such as Purple Something (it rhymed) which made me very sleepy and I tried sour diesel which i was not particularly fond of the taste. I live in a rural area by the border so i dont have much of a selection to compare this mexi to except previous mexi and I am completely surprised on how much stronger it is. The guy tells me when its swag and when its the good stuff and he was very impressed with this batch as well.

I see Messican Reggies around here every once in awhile going for about $90z. Its halfway decent but scary to think about whats actually on it.

The "bag seed" I have is great! Vigorous, for the most part, and smokes great

I LST'd &/or topped all of mine this year, exept one. I let her go au natural and she is at 12' (started to flower). I did buy seeds for next year, but I still have a lot of bagseed (found some plants that had gone to seed) and will continue to grow them.

I haven't smoked Mexican since the 70's and it was shit then compared to the stufff I've grown right here at home.
