Why I love these stealth grows :-)

:leaf:im looking to get a cool cab gorw cabanet and it looks like you can gow 12 plants in, do you think this is true the link will get you to the site where they sell this system. http://www.sunlightsheds.com please let me know if i can grow 12 plants:leaf:

The big headspace would seem to act like a kind of heat-buffer so smalller fans, or low speed fans can be used, aiding stealth. With a more efficient/direct extraction system, I think the upper portion could be used as a veg/clone CFL area.

I find smaller fans to be muc more effiecient in staying cool. I use a pc fan and a larger fan in my grow box, the pc fan keeps fresh co2 comming in, aswell as keeping the lights and atmosphere cool. The larger fan stirs air up inside the box. Works great for 1 or 2 plants. Thats just me.

Not all that stealthy but for lack of a better description, save ghetto :-P. My inline exhaust is noisy cus it is right behind the cab, and exhausts right there. Also my hasty white paint got on the outside of the cab too. Not really worried about stealth tho. Mainly light and some smell containment. Its low profile enough!

Is that a HPS in your flowering area? if so how many watts and it looks pretty close to the plants there.

what are those paper in your cab?

Are you asking me? I have yellow sticky traps for fungus gnats. Its a drop in the pond tho, I use BT soil drench mainly.

Yeah its a 250. And why not get it as close as you can? I give about 2 inches. They could go closer but I give room to grow. I put glass in and cut a hole to active exhaust it. I have exhaust fan on constant with the light. That shelf is about 5 ft tall. The top has 150 watts of cfl for veg. Its about 18" tall. I should of made the top taller and bottom shorter. All the info I saw from the light manufacturers said a 250 needed like 2 ft clearance between plants. So I made that shelf plenty tall. Then I found this site and learned most keep em about 6" from plants. Then finally I modified it and they can probably touch the glass.

Not with my glass and active exhaust. Hood is hardly warm
Damn thats sick man, when i used HPS's i just had the bulbs hanging with no hood, got hot as shit and i couldnt put the plants to close. Now im sticking to smaller CFL grows. Much safer and cheaper.

Thanks! Im having serious problems with them though. I wanted low wide pots, cus I thought I had limited height during flower like I was saying. So I crammed those window boxes in there, and cant get them out easily to flush. Plus theyre a little small for my plants. Think Im having salt buildup and PH trouble. Even tho I went real light on my nutes. I had lots of leaves dying off. Next time Im going to use those 2.5 gallon drinking water containers for pots.

Hey ms
Couldn't let this thread go without posting up a pic of my little effort.
Got various probs to sort out before I'm happy with all the recent changes. I've also got some new seeds to replace these NL's as they all showed deficiencies & poor growth, but for what it's worth here's the current lineup, 3 NL's in poor health and a baby violator kush:
