Who Needs Help?Ask Here..

I'm in the middle of my first grow,and am about to be switching over to flowering.
right now im using a 200w compact floresant light and was wondering what light would be good for me to use when flowering.
i know its good to have lights in the red-oragne spectrum.

other info that may be useful when helping me is.
1. hydro grow
2.34" tall grow space
3. 3plants atm, but plan on futrure grows being 6

Add fishing weights or scrap iron before you weigh them... or just keep your thumb on the scale like my butcher does... i'm going to have me some thumb someday.

so i had a mishap during a transplant. the plant fell on its side. as i picked it up an placed it upright in its new pot i heard some of the roots rip. will the plant recover from this and be okay?

I ripped a good mass of my roots off during my first transplant, and the plant has done just as good as the others. Your plants will recover nicely. Mine hardly even drooped.

Big buds are strain dependent. It looks like your plants are healthy. If big buds are in it's genes then you should produce.

I have very very small white bugs, what is this and how do I get rid of them, Its my first grow and dont want anything bad to happen to my babies. Also when is it a good time to transplant.

If you have bugs the best time to transplant is now The bugs most likely came from the soil.

Can I get some help please? I'm starting my first grow and I'm trying to grow atleast a pound of Super lemon haze using 1 x 600 watt hps. Which system will yield more? 5 x 5 gal drip system buckets? or 8 site 4" pots NFT system?

One pound on your 1st grow w/ 1-600 is a lot to ask, especially in the summer. IMO, 1-600 is good for a 3x3 area. The 5 gal drip system would be my suggestion.

Thanks guys, check my babies out they are 3 weeks old

I am hoping someone can help me, I currently have 18 SLH ladies growing from seed, untopped, 4 weeks into flower, in a 18 cell hydro living system. I also have 17 cuttings I took from them 3 weeks into flower, in an ez cloner...most have started rooting, my question is...when they are ready, do I transplant these clones from the ez cloner straight into the rockwool hydro system? Im worried about the roots being damaged, these are not rockwool cubes...just a bale I soaked for a couple days and will fill the 18 pots with. Do I just make a hole and carefully put them inside? This is my first cloning attempt and would like to succeed. Thank you!

What if I went with a 1000 watt hps instead of 600? Would that get me a pound? Or should I go with 2 x 600 hps?

I have 7 outdoor plants and wanted to induce the two oldest mamas and was wonder how would i do that succesfully this ma first grow so i dont want to fuck things up

2 600hps should defintly get you a pound

Finally harvest my 4 black jacks and 4 mystery seeds from nirvana!! Drying it out now should have pics soon. Thanks to all that helped in this thread and others. Anyways. The plants i low stress trained had about 3 large buds and a few smalled buds. So i chopped off the large buds and put the plant back under the light. The smaller buds should develope more now right?? I thought i remembered reading about someone doing this on here but cant find the thread now. Anyone know?

So i started a grow at a secret location about a month ago. Today was the first day i checked on the plants. Well as i thought from all the rain theyre getting they grew ALOT. but theyre stretching like crazy. i know its because i planted near too many trees so theyre not gettin optimal sun. but my question is.. because the grow process is much longer outdoors and the sun poor is also much more powerfull. will my plants still have a decent chance of producing good bud? even if not a lot. Because in my previous grow i seen the difference between plants grown from seed to bud under a 400 and a 250 hps and the difference was enormous. idk what you think? intensely overly stretched plants = string buds no matter what?

Couple of questions:

I'm setting up a 6x6 closet w/ 2 600hps lights and I need to figure out how many plants I should grow (lots of small plants or fewer big plants) for maximum Dankage. Going to use pots with dirt n fox farm nutes and a few old hippy tricks This will be my first attempt at indoor growing and I'm just trying to get all the details worked out.

Should the vent fans and room fans run when the lights are off? I am concerned the cold outside air will drop the temp too much.

2 600 i would go 4 big fuck off plants ,veg a little longer than normal then flick the switch and i run my fans all the time in veg and turn em off an 1hour after lights out in flower
