Right, I just thought I heard that silica packs were drawing out too much moisture, a Boveda might work better? I'm just as curious about long term seed storage as the next guy...

well the idea behind rice and silica is to keep moisture from the seeds.

the boveda's introduce moisture and would/might induce germination.

long term seed storage needs to be dry, dark and cold/cool.

How about putting them in a tea bag, toss em in a 1/2 pint jar with some rice, and in a mini fridge?

that should work.

i store mine in small glass jars with rice in each jar, then in the mini fridge. the fridge is new for me. i have always kept mine in a cool dark drawer, but with some of my 5-7 year old beans having difficulty germing, i have moved mine to the fridge.

My bad. 41 cups. No on the greenhouse. I have them with my fruit tree seedlings at the moment. They are just starting to sprout. Had 4 of 41 this morning. They will be going under lights at my veg buddy's any day now. Round two will be coming in a month after that, so round one will have to go outdoors then. I split the plants with him, so I have to deal with half of whatever comes up. First sprout was Blue Shiva X Blue Shark X Ass Cheese. Blue Ass?

That's a good %. Some of my "fresh" new strains didn't do good in fall/winter seed testing. So I'm expecting a few empty cups. But if the stars and my memory lined up right, I doubled up on seeds on the 2-3 that performed poorly, so maybe not.

shouldn't be too hard to find with some of the strains i just popped

so far neither GG1 male has much smell. 21 days into flower and it is getting close to dropping pollen. took a sample of each to smoke. will sample when it dries out.

at this point i don't see much difference in the two males. same structure, same no smell, and real close to the same size.

may not be very potent, but i will save some anyway. can't hurt to spread the love and pop the offspring.

was able to collect 9 tiny envelopes of gifted Apollo 11 pollen. And then 11 tiny envelopes of male Apollo 11 flowers, that i hope will still have enough pollen on them to be viable.

but hey, that's 20 packs and 20 separate impregnation's !!!!

GG1 pollen not ready yet, but
