so glad to be back in hydro. i feel so much better about what i am doing.

good news is over the 4-6 months i shut down my hydro i didn't lose any strains, so i feel fortunate.

will have my second system getting assembled this next weekend. the ass cheese female (fingers crossed) will go into the new system asap. king tut, malawi gold and matanuska thunderfuck will be ready by the end of the week also.

also just had a chem 91 clone get some roots !!!

sorry about the HPS, will take more pics later without it.

so last night i got the system setup and running, minus the lids, plants and nutes.

water was a little warm as it comes from an outdoor tank. after running indoors in 73-77 degrees for 24 hours the water will be ready this evening.

today i painted all the lids with plasti-dip and just need to add nutrients and plants after the lights come on.

moved my confirmed female ass cheese into her new RDWC home. flowered on the 25th she is already on a very strong growth spurt from DWC. probably 18" tall and 12" in diameter already. and now i just put her in RDWC

hope i can see the plants behind her, lol...

the other 3 that went into the new setup tonight are all unsexed: malawi gold, ak-47(king tut) and matanuska thunderfuck. have a few backup clones that are females ready to replace any males that show up.

hard getting pics with my fancy survival blankets on the wall. here are the 4 oldest under hps. and gth in peat/perlite crammed in there also.

it's a she...might have a slight nitrogen deficiency. was using the lucas formula for years but have just gone back to using all three parts.

gonna collect my texas butter male love juice tonight

he is really starting to dump his love now.

clipped a small branch the other day, let it dry and smoke it. do not smell any chem smells, or tastes. i get a slight mild banana smell, but what i get most is cornbread muffins or buttered popcorn. real nice head high for a male also. and as i sat on it longer the high crept into the body.

I haven't smoked any male tops yet for testing. I did include them in the general top pile. I'm mixing the fresh tops with the Rotten Stinking Bastard, Ass Cheese and Gorille de Raisin from the 16-17 spring crop. That gives the old bud a little fresh green taste. I'm trying to smoke some of the old stuff along. If not the fresh bud will be gone before I know it.

the legs on the male high wasn't particularly long, but it does give an idea of what the male is bringing.

some people even reverse their males so they can smoke their female flowers.

Yea, I've smoked males as a tool for judging drug trait for a while now. When I was a kid, I'd go for the biggest, fastest growing male and that is non optimal, to say the least. But so much of what we thought we knew 30-40 years ago is just plain wrong.

I barely have enough time to chuck pollen the old fashioned way. No chance of me reversing a male to test the flowers. Part of breeding is intuition and luck anyway. I never want to lose that. Especially the luck part.
