I've had the kid from across the street coming to my house from 7 am to 8:45 am when he gets his bus to school. Yesterday I couldn't find my ear phones after the kid left. They were next to where the kid sat. That's where they have been for the last 3 or 4 years I don't use them any where else so I know they were there. This morning I ask the kid if he browned them and if he did I wanted them back. He said no he had not seen them but I could have his if I want them. I told him no I wanted mine. He didn't talk the rest if the time he was here today. When he left I told him I would be talking to his dad when he got home from work and that I thought he should go some where else in the morning. I know this is a lot of shit over a pair of ear phones but this is how we all started steeling things(all us thieves) and the kid lied so quick and easy I know it's not the first time. This kid is 12 and knows better yet he does it with ease. So what do I do? Do I tell his father the kid stole and lied or do I say this isn't going to work any more and not say anything about the rest? We have a lot of things that fit in a pocket and I don't want to worry about something that cost more to be stolen. I have covered the area several times and no one else has been at my house. This is a large post over ear phones but it's the princeable and steeling is a bad habit that will get ya locked up in time. So am I just a dick or what?
