freeing up server space for a thread that was full of numbers makes sense... im friends with the op of it and he agreed.. he was really surprised it stayed open as long as it did...

I think it makes more sense to free up space starting with old threads that are inactive and of no value. Not with active threads. I mean, don't we still want people to be here on this forum?

Like I said before, too many posts are saturating the hard drives. For a web site that runs on nearly nothing, It's hard to just keep gigs of posts that are cluttering needed space for real cannabis talk.

Exactly, what can make a server crash is not enough storage space which makes the overflow randomly write over other sectors in hard drive space and possibly overwrite much needed system files. Another reason for system crashing is not enough open connections on the server and too many people trying to access the server... it could be a number of reasons.

We want our chat threads I thought this website was for all who liked marijuana why not let us chat in threads I post alot on my itouch and I can't go in to the chat rooms

Please don't take my word for it because I know nothing about what is really going on. It could be anything as I said before and only admin knows what the dig is. I never said 'haxerz', ok?... it can be anything, even hardware or software malfunction, even human error we know not about.
