sorry. I guess I was too stoned to really explain myself. its a good thing you like me . ok usually when you see someones post.... you can click "like" to show your support or rate their comments. I was gone for awhile and when I came back I noticed it was gone. and I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I get to click that "like " button.

I hope that makes more sense. thanks for being so sweet. what happened to the lace and frills thread ? :)

Look everybody. This is exactly what happens when the new world order finally takes away our human freedoms. They stop us from liking stuff. Now that we are not permitted to like anything, they can dictate more what shall be liked, or they will just kill us. KILL U.S.? no way, united states will build a time machine and we will perpetually live in the Nineties! mwahahahaha

Servers getting flooded by likes? That's such a tiny bit of info to store/process compared to a standard post or even a +rep. I thought the likes were a possible entry point for the hackers.

Yeah, but like probably 75-90% of likes that would have been do not turn into rep or a post, people just roll by. I don't know about you, but I liked practically everything that amused me... I only give rep when someone really deserves it... and I can't be assed to respond to things just to say "like"...

You might be right though, could be a hack vulnerability. Just saying, it's not so unreasonable to suggest that likes might have massively been increasing the port access rate.

The owner of this site wants nothing to do with Facebook gimmicks anymore. It's as simple as that.

Things change, days pass, joints are smoked, and rivers are cried. :D

Giving it up as a facebook-specific thing is kind of a fail unto itself. Facebook is not the only place such things are applied. God, call it "+" instead of Like if you want. Who cares. That's like saying you're not going to let your daughter play with race cars because that will make her into a boy. Why does your daughter deserve to be treated with restriction in order to satisfy your own prejiduces? That's bullshit.

Alright I wont call it a Facebook gimmick. I'll call it a NWO gimmick. :D
Whatever makes ya happy. I think it's a good thing because it encourages people to be forthright with a form of expression (even if it is a very castrated form of expression) in a world and age where most people are afraid to speak their minds.

No, it doesn't make me happy that the "like" button was taken off the website and now you want it back.

If it were up to me, I'd put it back. I don't know any of the reasons why it was taken off. I haven't been here in around 3 months and my notifications bar is still at 4 billion something, so I can't even tell if I get a message or anything. It was like that 3 months ago as well.

Anyways, time for a :joint:.

I dont know about that, more-so the owner was upgrading site features and this particular site feature caused the entire site to get hacked and lose 2 months worth of posts. So maybe ownership is just being a little more cautious. :)
