I think it's honestly sad that my fellow tokers/growers/enthusiasts of the herb aren't discussing and formulating ways that we could potentially change the system for the better of ourselves, rather than try to one up each other with both sides of the argument spewing half truths and bickering like school girls.

I agree with all that, except if done under the threat of force. People can be bigoted and racist all they want. You're not my friend if you are though. It should only be stopped when it violates liberty and freedom.

I don't see dark heart abstractions, I see consumption as the irresistible, change as necessary, and a fight no body can win. I don't give up though....

A simple solution would be to limit central planning. Absolute power and all that. This is one major problem I have with the 100 year old progressive movement in this country, to them, it means using government as the agency to get their way. Increasing governmental power decreases individual power and increases corruption, this is not what our great experiment was supposed to be about. Your ideology may be called progressive, but in reality, it aims to emulate centuries old systems that have failed over and over again. I'm not sure if it's lack of intelligence or massive egos that leads man to think THIS time it will work.
We could limit the damage of elected officials by limiting their purpose, seems so logical to me I don't understand why the opposite is fought for.

To point out something, the system fails for you, for many, we still see America as the land of opportunity, although those opportunities are nearly regulated away. Our government has screwed the pooch with our corporate laws, we could start there. If I own my business i can expense a Vegas trip if I cross my ts and dot my i correctly. I'm for laws that apply to everyone, not just those who are connected.
What ideas are progressive presenting that are new? Let's look at history and figure out why you think your ideas will work THIS time.

The scope of such a task is enormous. I will start by saying progressivism gets conveniently redefined so there might be a difference between the commie progressives and the social progressives. Not new, but not resolved is same sex marriage rights, drug legalization, tax on religions, eradication of corporate welfare, campaign finance reforms and many more. Actually, the system saved me....I am disabled.

Here is a problem, I don't want to be unable to work and I don't want to live off 150 dollars per week from disability. What the fuck do I do? How do I get off the govt teat when I need it to maintain? I wish context had no bearing on these issues but historical precedent is not a fair way to reference something that never worked. It is never going to be that easy....I am used to that. I am also used to being ignored when I make a point. How about it? any of these issues worth a discussion?

Without getting into personal details, sorry for your situation, you've been dealt a shitty hand and it will take efforts from you that others don't have to give. In my profession I've seen people deemed "disabled" over broken ankles because they couldn't do their previous job anymore and I've see quadraplegics making bank. I even worked for a man that broke his neck in high school, needed help buttoning shirts so he wore polos, that owned 6 hospitals and 12 nursing homes. I've seen overweight truck drivers be diagnosed with diabetes and start drawing a SSI check. I could lose both legs and still do my job.
As long as you have a working mind (which you obviously have) I can't consider you disabled, just handicapped (although we are not allowed to call it that anymore). Admittedly, labor jobs may be off the table for you but your mind seems to function fine.
