Today is Day 22 of 12/12 for the Dinafem Gorilla girls on the top shelf under the Quantum Boards.

Frost has started on the sugar leaves and on the larger fan leaves close to the bud sites.

Feeding for these girls only from today is Canna Coco A/B and (PK13/14 0.5ml per L). I also added a little Epsom Salts. Total EC 1.5 (0.3 EC background was 0.4) a little less A/B to keep the same EC Total. (PH5.8)

Will see how they respond and then decide if I keep the PK going which I normally do. I find adding the PK in this way builds up the frost rather quick under the leds. Since these are naturally frosty girls lets see what happens.

That's the update for these girls.

Checking plants this evening as the lights came on and there it is, leaves at the top three or four inches of the colas starting to canoe and brown spots between the veins. So the Quantum Boards have been turned down to their lowest power setting for tonight. Will check them in the morning and see exactly whats going on, but im going to say it's light stress. Tops further away from the boards seem fine.

Will snip a fan leaf of and take a photo to post with the next update. Feel free to chime in, I got be well wrong.

The sog plants under the strips do not seem to be affected.

Back later.

Do you think the problem was caused by too many photons or overheated leaf temperatures? In my severely limited experience I found using a laser thermometer to measure individual sections be a lot more reliable than going off of room temperature. Maybe there was a hot spot from lack of airflow?... Your skill and knowledge is light years ahead of mine so I can't offer much else constructive.

Ok photo below note the red circle this marks the damage and as can be seen the leaves lower down are not affected. Had to cut the net out of the cab so I could get in the cab to lift the plants out and have a good look.
Leaf temps are fine at 26c
Feel free to comment, we are all here to grow and learn.

Its hard to see much wrong in the pic.
Maybe take another couple in natural light, some closeups...?
How far from the tops to the QBs?

The tops are about 12" from the lights, seems to be only 2" of each top that's affected.Branches that are not directly under the lights ie of to the side look fine.

How is PK13/14 managed during your grows?

Ive QB 288 running at 73 watts and at 12 inches away it's measuring 1200 on par meter from memory...... quite high. But I'd need to get meter back n double check
Some plants love it , others don't.....
My QBs are at my mates, I thought I would be generous and lend him them while im not growing. (you inspired me)
He has a 4x4 layed down on its side to maximise his floor space but still have it hidden in the garage, so I told him to train plants real low profile. He didn't listen, I saw them a couple of weeks ago 6" from my 285w QBs and hardened off so he couldn't bend the main any, I said your pretty screwed now mate... Just got back from his and they have gone crazy, he is pulling branches down every day but there isn't a single sign of light stress..
Im pretty shocked, when I first got them I got light burn at less than 18", but I didn't veg with them, so I assume his plants have become accustom to stupid amounts of light..
One day I will be reclaiming my QBs and giving him Kittys number!! :bigjoint:

Hi there I run the pk 13/14 week 3 to normally week 5 on the 8 week strains. I lower the A/B so when I add the PK it doesn't raise the EC. Usually works out fine, but maybe not this round.
I have gave the girls a flush through this morning with a weak solution of just A/B at ph5.8. Will see how they respond and just keep using the A/B.
Thanks

Day 28 Top Shelf Day 24 Bottom Shelf 12/12

Ok folks everything seems to be back on track. All plants being fed the same with Canna Coco A/B and PK13/14 EC1.5 and PH5.9

The top shelf plants are firing out their little white hairs and getting fatter on a daily basis. Stretch seems to be over and as I thought they didn't stretch much at all under the leds, which is great for when I run the same strain again.

All plants barr the three little runts have been defoliated and that should be that until the last week of flower when I will remove most of the leaves for a easier harvest.

The sog plants Batch 1 pictured to the right in the below image have all had lower spindly branches removed. Batch 2 sog plants pictured to the left are not as tall as batch 1 due to having less veg time. I will be raising all plants so the tops are level and about 4-6 inches away from the Samsung Strips. You can certainly let the plants get close to the strips at these power levels with no ill effects. There is 31 sog plants can't remember if I posted final numbers for them, there is room for at least another 10 but I don't really need more and then 6 plants on the top shelf.

There is three little sog plants at the front which where little runts and done bugger all growing in veg that I decided to put into flower they seem to be doing fine and just letting them grow naturally with no trimming etc.

I will take some more pics today and upload later on.

Take care folks

Image below is of the whole cabinet well more less.
