Update for the girls on the top shelf.

They have had some more lst just bringing each top down for a level canopy and now is wall to wall also. I have about 2ft between the current canopy and the lights, so these girls will be on 12/12 starting tonight at 11pm.

I was going to flip last Sunday but the girls just where not at their best, and I don't like to flower plants until 100% healthy.

I have upped the feed from EC1.3 to EC1.4 and brought the Humidity up to 65% and bang girls are well happy, they need watered now twice a day, fabric pots are certainly rooted out now.

I will update whats happening with the lower shelf of sog plants once they are ready for flip.

That's that for today, cheers for looking in.

Toke...

Red stems as expected are starting to green up again.

Nice man. Im subbed. Even canopy looks spot on. Would like to reach that level of flat and even myself. Im going to try dinafem critical 2.0 next, nice to see you are giving dinafem a go. Also some nice photography going on there. With reference to the grey card, how comes you have to use RAW photos as opposed to jpeg

@superspudz420 I have run a lot of Dinafem photoperiod strains and never had problems, always good strong plants and rather potent at times. Their critical 2.0 is a fast growing plant, top it a few times is my advice. Easy to grow strain.
As for the camera work jpg doe's not contain the raw data required to set the white balance after taking the shot, you could probably get close with some editing but hardly worth the effort. If your using a phone for the images flick through different white balance settings the camera has to try get it as close as you can.
For level canopy top, supercrop, lst the buggers, most strains don't mind.

Drop in any time and if you see somethings not right with my grow don't be shy and bring it to my attention.
Cheers

Welcome ToThe White House 2018 - Dinafem Gorilla Diary

Lighting: HLG Quantum Boards X 3 - Top

Samsung Hinflux 301b Series Led Strips - Bottom

Medium: Canna Coco
Nutrients: Canna Coco A/B

Additives:
Canna PK13/14
Plant Works - Root Grow Hydro beneficial bacteria 1 20ml scoop in each pot.
Seaweed extract root drench 1 once a week.

Grow Style: Drain to waste. Modular Scrog and Sog

Posting some quick snaps and description of the flower cab now that it has been modified to have a top and bottom grow space and a lot of changes that are not seen without pulling it apart (never again).

Enviroment etc:

VEG: 24/7 lights on
EC 1.2 with a background of 0.4 EC
Nutrient Temp 20c

Top Level
Root Temps 22c lights on
RH54%

Bottom Level not being recorded atm

I cut my quantum board heatsinks in half and now have three boards spread out and screwed to the roof to light up the top level to give a more equal light spread over the canopy. I will be running these in and around 300-350watts max, will see how it goes.

The top shelf has 6 X Dinafem - Gorilla clone plants rooting out in 8l fabric pots filled with canna coco . There is also the mother plant in 8l fabric pot filled with coco that was used to make the clones. If I can keep here squeezed in she can flower out with the rest.

View attachment 4185151

The bottom shelf has got 1 x scrog plant in 8l fabric pot that's sharing the space with 16 clones in 2l final tall plastic pots, these will be growing as a sog. Not sure if the strain will be suited for it but hell why not have some fun and keep things interesting with different style of growing in the same cab. These will be flowering out under 270 watts of Samsung Hinflux 301b Series Led strips once they arrive and I get them installed. The sog plants will need a week or two to root out a little before flowering as roots are just appearing on them now, 8 days from cutting. If all goes well using the Samsung strips I will be switching my quantum boards out and use them in my veg space when it gets rebuilt.

So for now that's how things stand and I will try update this diary weekly or more if things change and need mentioned. Feel free to chime in.
I use Canna coco coir, A+B as well, I use some enzymes and calmag. Also I add some superthrive+mykos for transplant.
I added some perlite to my pots aswell.. I have the same humidity and temperature as you but I run 18/6 lights. Also I grow from seed for now.

Anyways, my plants were bursting and then I topped them at the 3'rd node and removed the lower branches. Now they haven't grown at all in almost a week. I wonder why..
the older leaves are growing a bit, but no height and the two new mains have barely even appeared. Do you figure I just topped them too soon?

I am referring to the 3 plants on the right(candy kush)

I cut the fan leaves in half when I take the clones of the mother plant. Less transpiring and they seem to root a lot quicker. If I was cutting fresh clones to go in the bubbler and under a humidity dome I wouldn't bother. Clone in that image is 8 or 9 days from cutting to rooting.

No I would not say to soon, they will be putting all their energy into growing roots. So they will take off soon enough. Just keep in mind if it's a hybrid more indica strain they take a little longer to get going than most sativa strains will.

Picture update today, 3X of the Dinafem Gorilla plants from the top shelf.
Stretch and structure is coming along nice and just the odd top needing a little more lst to flatten out the overall canopy.
Will post some images of all 6 in the cab later in the week along with details of the stretch etc.
Canna A/B EC1.4
PH6.0
RH65%
Temps from now till end of stretch has been set at 24c lights on and 22c lights off. Temps set this way always seems to reduce the stretch on nearly everything I have grown in the cab under leds.

So here we are Day 7 12/12

Another day another update.

Top shelf girls are at Day 9 of 12/12. I have upped their feed of Canna A/B to 1.5EC from 1.4EC PH6.0.
Temps on both levels are at a constant lights on 24c and lights of 22-20c.

Lights are now running at 125 watts per board x 3 so 375 watts if the plants stay happy im happy, if my calculations are right thats 30 watts per square foot which is right where the panels need to be.

Growth on all 6 of these is fairly consistant just the odd top needs pulling back down to level the canopy. Bud sites are starting to develop and internode spacing seems to be around 2.5cm so not to bad. Each top is around 13 inches long and good sturdy stems so have growin about 3 inches in 9 days. I will be defoliating them at some point next week and will post a before and after photo of a couple of the plants, dont think we need to see 6 different pictures and to be honest I couldn't be arsed taking more pics lol.

Bottom level girls are at different stages.
Lights have been turned up from 150 watts to i think max at 367 watts will need to check again once lights are on.
Batch 1 the bigger ones in the photos are at day 5 of 12/12 and had a little leave strip and will get some lollipop treatment at some point next week. They are back to health now, still some burnt tips on the leaves but not worried about that. These ones will be kept trimmed to form single stick colas. (well thats the plan) At present they are mostly 14 inches long measured from the top of the pots and have growin around 4 inches.

Batch 2 these girls where put into their final pots as soon as i seen them starting to root, each one had maybe 2cm of root so just starting really. Im going to let these ones just grow out whatever way they want, so little bushes and see how it goes. These girls are 8.5 inches or so in height so not big for sure.

Both batch 1 & 2 are being fed Canna A/B at 1.3 EC and PH6.0.
I will be spacing these out as they grow so I get good airflow and light, batch 2 will no doubt be smaller in height than batch 1 so they will end up being raised up to same level as the canopy of batch 1. In total i think there is 28 plants can't remember and lights are off so can't check. If I have space for some more I will maybe put more Gorillas or Dark Plasma clones in, we will see.

As for the cab itself I have changed the way It seals.
All around the inside of the door frames I have stuck and stapled velcro on, and using the left overs of the pond liner plastic cut to the correct size and stuck velcro on. On the back of the liner I have stuck on what I had left of the orca film to reflect light as much as possible inside. So with doors closed and the liner stuck on the unit is sealed. No air sucking noise and 100% no chance of any light leakage. Simple and effective remedy for any one growing in cabs and struggling with light leaks at the doors.

So thats how things are at present and will update again next week sometime.
Have a good weekend to all and thanks for stopping in.

When watering this morning I decided to take one plant from the top shelf and do some leave removal as the canopy is getting way to thick, restricting airflow and light.
I will do the rest of the top shelf plants tomorrow when lights are back on.
That's the update for today, images below.

I think I may get some string and make a net to use as a flower support for the top shelf plants.

looking sweet. love the diyleduk stickers haha! plants looking healthy

ive decided stop filtering my water and just use tap water...had enough of filtering RO its painfully slow and wasteful. My tap water is 0.5 ec or 240ppm...seems high but should be alright, right?

@lukio 0.5ec is moderately hard water, so don't use the calmag every watering maybe once a week if they need it. My tap water is 0.4ec I just add enough calmag to get 0.5ec. But only if the plants are looking it.

Yeah thought the diyleduk stickers would give some people a giggle but hey im testing these lights so only right the man gets a mention or two. Build quality of the strip lights are excellent real neat and tidy.

Have a good weekend..
