@Moflow that is something I can't really say atm for certain, lots of new variables to take into consideration this grow as im sure you can appreciate. I don't think I would be wrong to say hell yeah they will need some more lol time will tell.

I will use a net if need be I hate yoyo's they are a dam accident waiting to happen. Will take a good look at the top shelf plants mid week and decide then.

They will get another defoliation but only if I think they need it in the next two weeks, once I get to the last week of flower I will certainly be removing what ever leaves are there, saves me time at harvest and then the plants will be cut at the base and hung upside for a week or so.

Cheers

Dinafem - Gorilla Sog Day 8 of 12/12 update.

Ok the bigger plants on the right are the first batch rooted Batch 1
Smaller ones are Batch 2.

Feeding them Canna Coco A/B at EC1.3 Ph 5.8

The stretch is starting and lots more pre-flowers appearing, the overall health of the plants is good now and made a great recovery and praying to the lights when the cab is first opened and before feeding, should be plain sailing with them now.

I will be doing some defoliating later in the week.

Batch 1 will get any large side branches removed so I can keep them as close to a single bud stick. Some leaf tip burn can be seen on batch 1's older leaves, new leaves are fine.

Batch 2 may get some leaves removed if needed, im not trimming side branches etc on these ones they can grow out how they please.

Not much else to say about them to be honest, feel free to chime in.

Dinafem - Gorilla

Top Shelf Day 12 of 12/12 Flowers Starting to appear on the tops of all branches and seem like they will develop rather fast.
Bottom Shelf Batch 1 Sog Plants Day 8 of 12/12 Flowers also appearing at the tops.

Rather happy with that, will give them a mix of liquid sea weed and nutrients next watering. No idea if the seaweed helps just something I always do when I see any flowers.

Photo update end of week.

Have put screw eyes into both levels of the cab walls spaced at 3 inches apart. String threaded through every other eye to make a plant support net, net holes are 6 inches per square. That size of net squares should be ideal for this grow and later scrog grows can then be threaded up for 3 inch squares.

Top shelf girls have had the tops spread out into the flower support giving an even canopy from wall to wall. Some side branches will make it to canopy level by the end of the week.

Bottom shelf sog girls (batch 1 taller ones) will reach the net also by the end of the week and each plant will have a support each.

That's todays waffle over.

Day 17 12/12 Dinafem - Gorilla Top Shelf
Day 13 12/12 Dinafem - Gorilla Bottom Shelf Sog

Temps in the cab have now been raised to 28-29c lights on and 22c lights off. RH is around 55% with lights on, no idea what it is with lights of. Plenty of air flow so won't panic.
Nothing changed as far as feed strength etc. All plants are now showing their little flowers and seem to be healthy. Nets have been made for all plants. The top shelf have got their tops put into the net support and really need to stop growing or they will be taught a lesson before next update. As is I can not get into the top of the cab to take canopy photos (shit happens) so don't expect any.

The sog plants are now getting spaced out. Batch 1 plants are just about level with the net. Batch 2 are about 4 inches below the net, I hope they catch up to keep the canopy level, if not they will be raised of the floor.

Now node spacing on the sog plants are not as tight as the girls on the top shelf.

Let me explain to those only reading now, there is no problem with the strips in anyway, it's down to running them on a smaller driver, they are running about 100 watts less than the top shelf lights. Now we know how much extra power the strips will need to be, that will be rectified for future grows. Remember the strips are just being used for testing and to see what we can achieve in smaller spaces. I can see people with tents that grow smaller plants or do proper scrogs and have loads a space from canopy to roof, being able to adapt a similar setup and getting double the harvest weights or close to it in their 1.2 x 1.2m tents etc.

Well that's me for today will be updating the diary at some stage next week.

Have a good one all.

Just been and taken measurements of plants reference distance from canopy to led fixtures.

Sog Plants Batch 1 = 53cm from bottom of plant to top of plants leaving 28cm to led light strip.
I reckon another couple inches of growth yet to go.

Top Shelf Plants = 41cm from bottom of branches to top leaving 31cm to quantum panels. Again some more growth between now and harvest expected.
No light bleaching on any of the plants or any other light related problems.

Later all...

Mine seemed to stretch fast in first 3 weeks then slowed.
I'd say they were 15" tall when I initiated flowering and now they're around 36" now.
I haven't fed them yet, just Atami Bloom Stimulator and tap water.

I've threw up the uv light for next 4 weeks to see how it goes.
The Gorrilla doesn't smell hardly at all but the hit is up there with the best

Today is Day 21 of 12/12 for the Dinafem Gorilla girls on the top shelf under the Quantum Boards.

First up the canopy isn't 100% level. Tallest tips are about 4-6 inches above the net with most of the side branches bout 1-2 inches below and some level. So will have to sort that out end of this week. All the largest tops have had large fan leaves removed as they where blocking light and air flow. I'm hoping this will slow anymore stretch that is yet to happen and give the sides more of a chance to grow a little.

While checking the roots and water this morning I noticed a infestation of little white jumping insects which I know are springtales. They don't really do any harm but they need to be controlled simply because they piss me off.
On inspection of the fabric pots there is some white marks on the outside of the fabric, I'm not sure if it's dried salts or mould. I rolled the fabric down a few inches to where the white is on the outside but don't see it on the inside. So I will be adding a spare cheap ass temperature controlled fan below the canopy to make sure the air is moving and not sitting stale. Will keep an eye on this just in case it is mould.
Will post some photos of the whole cab at the weekend along with some details on the sog girls down below.

Later all
