Thanks ... Growing is easy ..Its the waiting thats hard
ha...that is soooooooooooooooooooooooo true....

i've noticed that as you get better at growing, so does your patience...ha..

i use to look at them constantly, as if i had magical powers with my eyes and somehow the shit would start growing faster...

but then i noticed when i was gone for a day or more and couldn't bother them, thats when i would really notice the change in growth...

Ya know?

MG is great for *every* other plant except pot?

Yet the same people will say "they don't call it weed for nothing."

I have a FF, ProMix, and MG plant growing now. All from same mother (to keep thing even/fair). Doubt you could pick which is which.

do you mix your epsom salt into the soil or dissolve it into the water...
1 Table spoon into the water (throws the ppm off the scale if I use the Blue Labs meter, but the Milwaukee reads it fine. So its the last item, then tweak the pH). Currently using 1 Tbs per 1/2 gallon. I use 4 gal buckets with a 1 gal grow bag on top. 1/2 gal of water about once a week.

Now, I'd see if the plants want the Mag or Cal before using it. Took me a grow or two to get it right for this strain.

thanx man...you're a real pro...

you can actually tell when it needs its Mag and Cal...

i only use bagseeds, so thats gonna be a problem for me to find the right amounts like you were able to...

i just recently seen a chart and pics that shows all the defs...

i couldn't un-jumble (is that a word..... doesn't matter)

i couldn't unjumble anything you said...

i guess you're basically saying you don't like the stuff... thats ok... whatever works for you... but what i'm trying to figure out, is why you're saying you don't like it... you didn't give any reasons... you're just another hater

Thats how I did it. First round thought it was burn. But the leaves, along the long edge fold/curl under, and can get brown spots. Starts low works its way up. Its a bit of T&E, since some symptoms look alike.

yeah, i needed those just in case i ran into those problems in the future and didn't want to mistake it for something else and endup messing everything up...

what you describe almost sounds like late transplanting also...i see what you're saying about similar symptoms

Hey, thx needhelp and bigbud for the advice, ill take it into consideration.
one more question though.

im going to be leaving for about a week and im trying to figure out how to keep my plants watered. i was thinking of overwatering them the day i leave but that might cause nut burn. is there any way you reccomend keeping my plants watered for the week that im gone?

How far along are they? If over a month and in a gallon or less container id transplant and then soak the hell out of the soil make sure its good and packed...at that point going to even a twice as large( I would recommend atleast a 3 gallon so you won't need to transplant again if this is a grow and chop) but this should allow for enough water for the roots to go in search of these new areas of water.

just for the record mg totolly sux,,its ok in veg since it has adequate nitrogen in it. Around 2nd week of flowering is when u start adding nutes,,sinc theres no p,k in there,,and usually there are major problems,,since there are time release nutes in there, its hard to measure what yr really giving to yr plants. for a complete nube mg is a start,,but if you wanna be lazy,u can make a soil mix with some promix,a lil mg organic (for N) some bone meal, blood meal, dolemite, perlite, with this mix,,u woluldnt have to do anything but water to the end,,only differance u know what yr putting in there exactly

i could produce results in depleted compacted clay soil if i wanted to. what would be the purpose besides making things more difficult soil of better quality can be had for similar prices to m.grow. some of the threads people start are funny this is a purposeless and pointless thread. if all you have is m.g. then make lemonade out of lemons but arguing the merits of m.g. is just plane stupid. m.grow is not for people who take growing seriously. some people argue for the purpose of argument go figure.

yeah...practice what you preach...

it has been said many times in this thread that MG is not the best soil out there... but if thats what you want to or have to work with... you can have a successful grow.. and no one, including you, can't deny that with proof...

there are different types of MG soil if you didn't know... sooooo, which one are you basing this off of... 3 month release i would guess...hmmm... thats for later on in transplanting... so if you start it off in that for a seedling, you're wrong, but you can do it... but other than the 3 month release, there are MG soil with less N in it

mg is garage and for nubes,,or people who cant afford normal soil,,why would u wanna use mg? pre packaged nutes, and time release,,i dunno,,i like to give my plants what they want when they want it,not to mention all that shits thats in the soil is harder to flush out
