first an update of growth on my brothers plant

and this is what I want it to be (right now my bros plant is in there ) but anyways:



I hope to gut it all out and add one more cfl wich will be awesome cuz id have more light and more space wehoo! -end of update more later

dude, put your plants higher, 2 inches from the light. i think you have the airflow to keep it cool enough. that is why your plant is stretched. the secret to cfl is proximity.

yes the first ones stretched cuz my brother grew it in his closet to far away from the light (or got it like that i dont no) when the other ones sprout il move it close ennough

YES! 2 of them are, so happy, once they grow a lil more il move them right to the light

one of the seeds planted just didnt make it, I dont know why it seemed like it didnt get enough watter but im not sure anyways, 3 was one 2 many

i left for the weekend and had the brother take care of them, there doing fine, but the power went out and now it looks like the oldest one is showing sex haha, anyways the 2 i planted 1 is doing fine the other is very gimpy and mutant like, very small for its age! pictures tonight

Did your lights go out long enough for a 12/12 cycle? Then again, one cycle and it starts showing sex? Werid. I hope you dont have a hermie like joe said.

Anyways, I love your idea, great grow so far, keep it coming. Hope to see some pics soon.

where i live theres loads of power outages, everytime one happens my timer resets, and lights go off until i set it! and that happend for the whole week, brother didnt know what to do lol.

As you can see the "mutant" one has barely grown and shows signs of not enough waater, tho i no its definetly getting enought

Now this ones the other seedling, its doing OKAY but thats all i can say good about it, seems to be getting to much water

Damn man, a week, ya, that will bring them to show sex. If all of them are going to start to flower now, you wont get to much of a yield. As for the smaller ones, they wont show sex for awhile. You can start off at 12/12, some people do, and as soon as its mature enough it starts to flower, but ideally you want to vegg for 3-4 weeks before you start to flower.

Poweroutages at this time of the year? Where do you live? If you live near the great lakes, then yeah, the snow effect lakes will cause power outages. And unless you have a backup generator there is really nothing you can do. That really sucks you have to deal with that.

I live in New England, I get alot of Noreasters in the winter, and lake effect snow added to it, so accassionaly there are power outages, but I am not too worried.

You actually gave me a great idea. I could build a LED system, and have it battery powered for emergency power outages. LED's will work great for Veg, and it would be great to have for emergencys like that. Maybe you should look into getting a LED system large enough to cover the lighting for outages, and just keep some back up battiers. But I am sure a big enough LED system would take a few battiers. But hey, its better than having no light during a outage.

and the over wather/ under water can be tricky, sometimes a plant looks underwatered but was really overwatered. How much have they been watered. Best bet, is to wait until the soil is dry. Marajuana plant don't like to in constant moist soil, they like for it to dry up, so there roots go searching for more food/water. So as soon as you see the soil is dry, you can water it. If its still moist, leave it be, and let it use that water up.
