vegging a clone with no veg chamber

so i hadn't planned on making any clones, but i accidentally snapped one of the side branches while LSTing so took a clone and she has rooted. I don't have a seperate veg room and my other plants are on 12/12 now during daylight hours. Since I can only keep the clone under my lighting for 12 hours max a day, is it okay to take it out and keep it say in my living room for the remaining hours needed to keep it in veg state? Obviously, incandescent light bulbs won't help it grow any but will they at least help trick the plant into thinking its still in veg? sorry if i haven't explained myself very well, but that's the best way i can put it. . . .

I should think so.. In nature the plants doesnt always get direct light.. So you might not expect so much groth when its in the bedroom but i think i would remain in Veg mode.

I saw a Jorge cervatez movie a while ago and he had a plant outside that never got direct sunlight.. Still it was very large..

Dont quote me on this.. Im still a newbie..

huh...thats what i thought. but also thought cannabis plants required AT LEAST 6 hours of direct lighting, so that would be interesting to find that cervantez clip.

Run to Walmart or a hardware store and buy a cheap clamp-light and a 100w Cfl bulb .... stick it in a closet or the bathroom til it's rooted with the light on 24/0.... we use our linen closet! LOL! Also- if the clone is small enough- you can make a 'clone-dome" from an empty 2-liter soda bottle! cut off the top- wash it well- put in the planted clone and fit the top back on WITHOUT the cap. Again- 24/0 or at least 18/6 light-- or it won't root-- it will keep trying to bloom- and die before it can root.

Sounds like an easy fix for the problem.. Thumbs up..

IMG_0083.jpgnr12.jpgView attachment 2558229Throw together a quick clone dome got an old clear storage container flip it, throw a old rag wool rug in, pop a couple of holes on the top and you got a clone dome. Use jiffy pots or rock wool. to clone in use prop tech. If it's rooted keep it under a simple cfl florecent lights such as this will keep them in veg. A small brood light with clip on cost $9.99 at ace. They are for brooding baby chickens.brrod light.jpg

the clone is already rooted, transplanting today. but my question is can i keep it in veg by keeping in under incandescent lighting part of the day while for most of the day i have it under CFLs

In short yes if you continue the light cycle in a different room it should remain in the vegatative state. I would be worried about stressing it out with all the moving back and forth from room to room everyday. Would be much easier as previously stated to simply get anothwr loght to keep somewhere else.

IT wont stress (no disrespect) them a bit to move them daily as long as you don't jar them around.. and moving them always ups the odd's of risk potential to knock over etc.

For a long long time this was my 'mobile' veg room
High tech light

High tech room (any wall will work)

I left em 24/7 bopping back between the wall and the 'room' whenever the fancy hit me.

You can get some nicely vegged plant with that little high tech light, and pot's fit exactly under it if you keep em short.

I cut 2 clones just before i put a plant into flower, and vegged them under the 400w hps. Then i pulled them out and put them
under 2x 23w cfl's for the other 12 hours when they were small enough to stay in the box i grow my clones in.

I still do the same thing to save power when im vegging, until i get some t5's

See the security lights with cfl's under the hps here.

Cfl's make for nice tight nodes if you keep them close.
