Vaporizer Recommendation, Please

I'm looking to buy a vaporizer for my 85 year old Father. He's not a smoker anymore and really needs relief with his arthritis. He's also a 'Blinded Vet' having survived the sinking of his ship in WW11. Any and all suggestions will be welcome. Thanx

SSV or Silver Surfer Vaporizer is the best IMO. It is hand made in Colorado, USA. Fully customizable with hand blown american glass, the best model is under $300 compared to $700+ for the Volcano. No inhaling from plastic bags involved. Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg swear by it too. Willie swears his voice "sounds even better". We have discounted models for patients, never used for $120. Check out the website, http://www.silversurfervap.com/herbalvaporizer.htm . If you are a Colorado resident and your dad is a patient then send me a PM and I can get it for you cheaper then the website.

Thanx for the info FrarmerBob and Del66666
I researched both makes on the web and decided to go with the SSV, being as there is no vapor bag required. I can set my dad up with a little herb and with the 'hands free kit' he should be able to manage until it needs refilling. The bag and his blindness wouldn't go well together.
A black SSV with a silver metal base is on it's way. I also bought a grinder and the aroma attachments for smell purposes.
Hope he likes it. If he doesn't I know I will..............

I have the HerbalAire and would never trade it for a Volcano. I've used both and to be honest, just spend $20 bucks and upgrade the pump. That's what I did and now it fills up bags much faster than the Volcano and uses less herb, too.
IMO the Volcano is more talk than delivery. You get people who have never even tried it recommending it because others do.

Couldn't be happier with my HerbalAire.

Also I'm not a fan of direct draw/wand; I prefer bags. Less coughing and if you let the bag sit for a minute the vapor's totally cooled down.

I have owned two. I had a Voodoo but it was loud and annoying. Now I use a vapor tower and I love it!

I'm getting the SS this month.
I figure if Willie likes it, why wouldn't I ... :-P
I thunk I heard that Willie had a lung removed?? Is that so ????

If'n he did, the SS has got to be a smooth smoker. That's how I looked at it. Just before I ordered one.

Oh wow, I didn't know that he had a lung removed...haven't ran across anything on Google about it yet.
The SSV is the only Vap that I heard he used. Not that he doesn't use others, just haven't heard him be mentioned using anything else.
Plus the You Tube vid on how the SSV works, things it does that others don't, the price, all pretty much added up to help convince me to get one.

I prefer the Volcano over the SSV .I prefer German over CHINA or INDIA .
That's understandable.
I had a vaporizer that I got on the net (Made In China) and it went to shit after a few months of use. That's why I had to get a new one.

PS: HerbalAire is Made In Canada.

The V-tower in my opinion. Got it from arizer and its been working fine with hard use for a couple now

Made in canada, and compared to the Silver Surfer, VaporDaddy and Volcano; functions like a volcano, with the quality and price point of the SS.

I'm a little late here, but I wanted to recommend the Da Buddha. It is made by the same people as the Super Silver Surfer- and has many of the same properties, but costs $100 or so less. It costs about $165 all in and it is a brilliant, well designed piece of engineering that actually works. It is the beez neez. It is very sturdy and high quality. No fiddly plastic bits. Also, the Da Buddha is made in the USA. Here is a good link comparing a few pieces: http://www.dabuddhavaporizer.com/compare.html. I hope it's OK to post the link... if not, please delete, mods.

I own the Da Buddha and I HIGHLY recommend it. You won't beat the quality at that price.
