Using pot money to further education?

Well, I'm tired of being a useless American. Has anyone considered using their grow money to help pay for college or education? The reason why I like the idea is because I could build my cash as I build my debt. So when i graduate, instead of being 60,000 in debt and fleeing my home, I would have money to pay off my loans. Jst wondering others thoughts on this? Thanks

I say go for it. In todays society you need a collage education. Why not get into collage by doing what you love? Whith that being said, just make sure you don't go doing something stupid, like getting kick out for being caught with weed. Depending on what collage you choose, they may want to randomly drug test you. I know I had to go through that for a year of my life. Best of luck to ya!

Fuck, that is respectable. You're bettering the situation of others (by possibly supplying someone with medical needs?) whilst bettering your own situation with furthering your education. It's a win-win.

Thanks for the input guys! I'm lucky enough to be living on my own and not at any college. But I got laid off and working for 9.50 is not an option when paying bills. I jst figured doing something is better then nothing. I give credit to anyone that's trying to pay off their college loans with this market. Thanks again, Later!

I'd say go for it. Pot and mney just go hand and hand, like pb&j. If u wanted even more money u culd make deals..but I don't condone that sort of action

I plan on doing that after i get caught up on my current debt from being unemployed. After this current grow i plan on paying off drivers responsibility and fines with the court system and fix my mud truck. Then start saving for college. Got f-ed over on taking cnc class cause not enough people signed up. So gotta wait another year

youd have to gro a literal TON of weed to pay for even 2 years of community college

it does sound like as good a reason as any to grow weed. just dont do anything stupid and get caught and it should work out for you

That's pretty much what I did...

I was able to earn my bachelors in Historical Studies thanks to my gardens a few years back (very unmarketable degree--i do not recommend)...funny though--my plan was to grow only until i graduated--then quit and get a job---which i did--and my job sucked (not sucked like every job pretty much sucks--but REALLY sucked--( a high school for kids w behavior disorders...anyway..) I left that job w hopes to get a new one in a library or museum or something like that--but guess what------here's a shocker---NO JOBS IN SECTORS THAT HAVE LOST FUNDING BC OF ECONOMY---so, well--that's why i'm here on riu today...lol

really tho--I am again doing what i love--it is therapeutic, fulfilling and beautiful...

Not to mention my husband also ran the rat race pretty hard--just to get laid off in August--after first having his wages cut--all because our country has been sucked dry by the greedy...(jorge fucking arbusto y los amigos)

besides getting through school, i've never been in it for the $$ (i just happen to get pretty big yields for the size of my garden lol)--plus i would always give to charity ($ not, lol) St. Judes, local community radio station, NORML, sierra club & united way, mostly ) and plan to, still...

And if all goes well, i'll finance grad school or, even better, take some botany/horticulture classes and become the best grower EVER ....hahaha

Hey, thanks for the heads up on bill#1234 info! I didn't see it until today but I still sent an email. As for my education goals, I'm thinking more along the lines of getting certified as a Pharmacy Tech. Then study like hell to pass the state exam. After that go to college for a B.S. in Pharmacy. Either way I'm prob looking at 70 grand worth of loans. I figure that if i do abt 10-15 grand worth of growing every year and stay outta trouble; I should be able to manage. It will def suck to do this. But I have nothing else to do, so fuck it!

That's why you don't get loans, you sign up for financial aid and live like a king off government money that you never pay back.

One of my friends paid for college with money from selling pot and ecstasy. He dropped out later that semester.
