Why Trump failed as POTUS.

There are lots of reasons why Trump has failed at leading the free world. I thought it would be interesting to see what people think Trump has done wrong (or right).

My personal opinion is that Americans were conned into thinking that they were electing a businessman. Someone who would look at all the resources our great nation has to offer and would be able to build a network of working pieces that would bring about a new economic expansion. Instead Trump's first three years were economically worse than Obama's last three years as POTUS, and with all his temper tantrums (closing down government during the holidays, trade wars with allies, pulling out of treaties that gave us an economic/strategic benefit, etc) caused the world economy to not be as strong when slammed with the pandemic (that he also screwed up our response).

Unfortunately Trump was never a businessman, he was a salesman. His daddy made his millions during the post-WW2 economy using government funding for his projects and let Donald Trump run around playing socialite selling the Trump brand. Donald Trump played the part trying to make that one big score with daddies money. But Trump was never a 'businessman' no matter how much he tried to play one on TV.

This was the mess-up. Sales people are not business people. Business owners have to pay attention to every aspect of their companies and while not everything will always work out, they need to be sure that they are overall successful.

Sales people only need to focus on closing the sale so they can earn their commission and then they move onto the next customer. If someone is not going to buy, they learn to move on to the next 'deal'.

This is why Trump fails as POTUS. He doesn't realize that often taking care of an issue will improve the overall situation even though it might not be popular or the benefits easily understood to the masses in the short run.

A leader who thinks he know everything...knows nothing.

He thinks he’s smarter than he is.

He thinks he’s doing a great job. And he is. Of making the top 1% richer. It’s what republicans do.

Funny what a little fear of losing guns does to grown men. :hump:
Worst economy ever....at least he didn’t take our guns. :wall:

As the great showman PT Barnum famously stated around a hundred years ago "There's a Sucker born Everyday" seemingly especially in this country.
The Apprentice was Trump's claim/road too fame, fooling/suckering a shitload of dumb-as-fuck Americans into believing that he actually knew what the fuck he was was doing.
He never did.
He never will
It's evident now, right?
The writings were on the fucking wall.
Multiple bankruptcy's/divorce's/infidelities & this was the person that America chose to lead them?
What the fuck did we expect too happen?
Well, fucking Reality has reared it's ugly/deadly head.
Not nice, huh?
Fucking assholes.

Here’s what I can’t wrap my head around. How do people select his name? How do you pick him on the ballot?

I’ve always considered myself a “third party” or “middle of the road guy” but some of the republican’s positions (especially lately) I can not get behind. And they are major sticking points for me as a human.

He's a confidence man, the only thing he's good at. He's been a conman his whole life. Life for him is a tee vee show and now he's about to be cancelled. Low ratings and all. This was a publicity stunt gone "hahribbly" wrong. Now, instead of building on his name, his brand will be viewed as untouchable and destroyed. It's karma, baby.

I would argue trump was never a good salesperson either. He’s not even a good con man.

Why did he fail as POTUS? Mainly because he never had the inclination or intention to govern. The 2016 campaign was nothing more than a publicity stunt to build his struggling brand. Unfortunately for America too many of its citizens fell for the con and he became president.

trump’s failure is no surprise to anyone who didn’t fall for the con.

He failed because he is an asshole and a moron, an indolent wastrel who choked on the silver spoon he was born with. He is a low IQ sociopath who can't even fake empathy and discounts or ignores the future consequences of his rash and impulsive speech and behaviors. They call people like Donald sociopaths for a reason, they fuck up every social situation by putting their own interests above the common good every single time. A comatose POTUS would be better than Donald, keeping the post vacant would have been better, the federal government has been rendered worse than useless as far as helping the people goes anyway. The pandemic was a test that Donald, the republicans and a good portion of the American public failed and continue to fail with deadly consequences.

They have trouble dealing with reality even when it is bitch slapping them in the face and mother nature stomping them into their graves. In the end reality wins.

Are we trolling the trumpers today? I’m not saying I disapprove, just curious. :)

Trumpers are almost nonexistent here these days, a few antisocial trolls, but nothing serious for awhile. A few are lurking but not many are posting, they even seem to have given up on their socks for the most part. Their spirits appear to be as broken as their brains.

Perhaps @mysunnyboy will post this thread on Chuckers Paradise and share the hilarious responses.
They’re desperate. All they have is Hunter Biden.
I told them that I understand, it’s easy to be fooled.

lol if I am it is unintentional. I was thinking about this thread for a few days when I heard someone in a debate or rally talking about him being a businessman. And it kind of clicked on me how Trump approaches everything like he is trying to get that one big sale that every sales person wants.

You have to be desperate to need to believe in anything to get sucked into the same Russian propaganda that Guiliani is now pretending he didn't know what it was. But we know better, because even in the 'perfect call' where Trump tried to coerce a vulnerable ally into manufacturing dirt into Biden and got himself impeached when he withheld the whistle blower complaint longer than he was legally allowed to do, he told the Ukrainian president to 'talk to Rudy'.

Trump is doing the same thing he did to over 2 dozen women, even though they said no you can't do this, he keeps pushing to get what he wants un-ashamed in it's illegality.

They don’t care about the truth. They’re just trying to get that last little bit in.
They won’t believe anything until they’re unscrambled.
