i am starting my first grow. these will be in areca palm trees in my yard. i was going to plant them in the flower beds but after watching my wife play volleyball with the kids and them go right into the beds after a stray ball i knew it wasnt going to work. so heres my plan.
i have 4 seedlings started( church, great white, kc36 and amc)
ive already done some trimming on the palms to open the canopy for maximum sunlight penetration.
plants are going into a mix of organic soil, worm castings, peat moss and perlite in 3 gallon pots.
the pots have been sprayed camo and drilled with zip ties to hold them to the stalk of the palm trees.
the last pic was taken this morning. at what point should i transplant into the pots? once transplanted when do i start feeding? i have alaskan fish fert for veg and will do alaska mobloom in flower. this is for personal use. i realize the plants will not reach full potential in 3 gallon pots but 5 gallon is a little big for my plan so please refrain from telling me to go bigger with my pots as it just isnt an option at this point.
