Hey man, dled herbiq a few days ago; lookin good. Ill update if I see anything needing improvements... obviously picture capability will be in the next update? How about the ability to lock a file/folder w/ a password?

Actually I just put an update out tonight that automatically zips the file, encrypts it with 256 AES encryption, and password protects it, tomorrow night I'll write in support so you can choose the password yourself, right now it's static I just put it in for testing.

Just got done downloading everything i needed to run the HERBIQ. And i love it already. Cant wait to be able to add photos of my plants and any other improvements that you make available. Thanks for making this.

I just checked mine and it doesnt allow me to set the password. I looked at the pics that you posted above and i dont have that option to set password.

Trying this software out and I must say on first go around it is impressing me. It would be nice to see all the features work but I understand all good things take time. Keep up the good work on and I look forward to another release with more goodies in it. Being able to hook up web cam/cameras to it would be awesome, a patient tab for those growing for patients and maybe a financial tab for those who sell to patients or dispensaries. I think that you could make some decent $$$ doing this software, I checked out the Grow Assistant software and was left lacking with it. You have a much better handle on this so hurry up and grab the market while it is out there bro. More than happy to to be a tester for you. Thx!

Thanks, i just re-downloaded the beta 11 and now i have access to set password. I will probably just wait until the final version is released before i go any farther with it. I dont want to have to keep downloading the updated versions and have to keep re-entering my info in the newer version. But i do like it alot. Cant wait until we can get the photos option working.
I put up the latest version on CodePlex tonight. As buster notes, you will need to re-enter your info at this point until we can figure something out for upgrading data files (I have an idea, but need some time to play with it). I would like for folks to d/l and mess around with adding/deleting/updating/promoting "plants" though.
Definitely some good ideas here, I'll add them to the Feature Request discussion. Also, I put up a new version tonight if you would like to test it out.
Re: the $$...The intention is for this to be a completely free app. We both have "day jobs" and once you start taking people's money, you are on the hook for support vs supporting when you have time.

I probably should have read the "About" tab to learn about the free thing huh? Note to all who read this:Read the instructions before operating. 
Like the new version, have tried everything out at least once but will continue to mess with it to see what I can find for you all. I like combining the tabs, cleans some things up, the promote button works so far so that is a major plus. Things are coming along with this software, I was a little concerned at first having to install the .Net thing but I have got past that and enjoy seeing this software develop.
Issues:
Take a look at the "Nutrient" tab - the boxes are a little wide for the application window.
The calendar does not seem to see the "Flowering" plants or at least I couldn't seem to find anything.
Advanced tab is blank (or is supposed to be at this point?)
Wish List:
I would like to see when I put a plant in to flower, when it is due out of flower based on "Advertised flower time".
When to start or the date I started my "flush" on my flowering phase. (Usually 2 weeks before harvest date for me)
How about being able to see what nutrients are with which plant?
A location of where each plant is at.
An import/export button/option to bring in info from previous versions of the software? Would save me time in evaluating it at least. (Tried to bring in the .Xml file from the previous version but to no avail)

Wow, I wish I could check this out. I am currently stuck in bed alot so I am using a laptop with a crashed hardrive running ubuntu off of a 2 gig flash drive and I do not have the memory available. I am so absent minded because of all of the narcotics this seems made for me! Good Luck finishing it off Guys! Can't wait till I get my new laptop...someday LoL
