Water topped up with 10L RO water and 2L tap water to bring up the PH from 5.78 to 5.83.

PH: 5.83
Total Solution: 510ppm
Water Temps: 65F

I originally was going to do individual nets for each tote but it required me to do too much while not trying to disturb the plants so I opted to do the whole canopy net. I did not do any weaving or tying, I didn't want anything too permanent.

A little fly over video:

In addition to drinking a lot, the PPM are going down quick as well. Do I just keep adding nutrient to keep the PPM higher? any idea when things would get unbalanced? (NPK) I plan on keeping it going for at east 3 weeks before any type of water change this round, even then I think maybe 50% change.

I added a sponge filter to the res pipe to help catch bigger debris and also give a good area for microbes. I want to try adding hydroton to a mesh bag and leaving that in the res too, its very porous so it also looks like a good microbe home but I have heard it may cause some PH issues?

I have been thinking about adding lights to get to the darker corners of the canopy. Dropping some sockets to each corner with Y splits was going to be messy and some cheap LED shop lights were a bit pricey for the light output.

Checking out some local used ads I came across light rail for $70! I think this is a great value to solve my shaded area issue and as a bonus my peppers will get some much needed extra light.

laid it all out and he gave me a great value here. Extra rail extension, kit for adding another light fixture. Don't think I will be needing it but it is great that its there. I am looking at only having it to move 1.5 ft in each direction but I wish this thing would be speed adjustable. I am going to test it out on the VARIAC at some point to see if lower voltage would slow it to a crawl. I would really love it to move over hours and not a minute or two.

Have not decided how I want to mount this, there is a kit but I would rather figure a DIY ;)

Day 45 veg for the big ones. Day 32 for smaler ones and day 25 for the smallest PE top center. Will start the stretch schedule on the next light cycle.

Pineapple express says will stretch a little bit, Bubbas Gift says it will have almost zero stretch but the Blue Cheese says it will stretch 3x almost always. So ill leave that center area for the BC to grow into once the branches all pop out from behind the massive fan leaves.

Been a few days since an update.

The system is drinking about 10-12 liters a day and feeding about 40ppm per day, which is quite a bit in 60 gallons of water!

I decided to dose nutrients with top off, the new growth was looking more light green than usual.

Prior:
PH 5.96
475 PPM

After 51g Mega Crop:
PH 5.83
630 PPM

Added 4L of my fresh brewed EWC + Great White brew and refrigerated about 2 gallons to dose during the week.

I spent about an hour or so cleaning up that light rail. Person I bought it from had it all greased up with lithium or something. What a mess, Light Rail says never to grease these things. Oh well nice and clean (or almost) now.

I tried a few things but some good zip ties worked best to get the rail secured to the tent. Used about 10, should be fine, ties are rated for 40lbs.

I am really liking RDWC so far (fingers crossed). There is no burns, no yellow leaves or leaves that fall off or need to be plucked like my other soilless grows in promix. usually I would have a sopping bag full of foliage picked up or plucked.

As long as you dont run into issues youll love water culture.

I used to love coco but hated the coco

Interesting...i started my first grow in promix and had nothing but easy peasy with the plant even after all my messups. Plus never have to ph water.

Been busy with a lot of thing in the last week so I haven't updated.

I flipped them to 12/12 and they filled the open areas within 5 days. I left the MH on for the first 6 days to help keep the height down. Left Day 1 of flip and right is Day 5 of flip

Day 11 Water Change day!
I was at Day 19 since my last water change. I have now topped off about 35+ gallons of water and surpassed the 50% top off mark. Having my res 10 foot away in another room allowed me to do this while lights off.

The night before I mixed 25 gallons of mostly RO water with Tap water to bring PPM to 70 and then added a lil extra silica, about 20ppm and then CalMag to bring it up to 180ppm. With my nutes the mix was at about 1100ppm.

I drained about 38 gallons of water. Res PPM was at around 500ppm at this time so I was taking that into consideration when diluted with the new mix. I left some water to help recondition the new water with my beanies, making sure to take a little water in a container and gently washing my sponge filter in the res water.

I skipped brewing the EWC as things have been pretty good for over a week without any dose. My res smells so nice, like washing potatoes or when you walk into those fridges at the florist.

After adding the initial 25 gallons I started to pump in pure 200ppm tap water to bring up the water level and adjusted PH to 5.75. PPM balanced to 990 after all was done. I added 15g of Great White directly into res and at lights on I mixed 1 gal water to 5g Great White and inoculated the net pots from tops. This should keep things in check and I may be good without EWC, maybe ill make some more for the next change or if I see anything odd at the roots.

Day 12
They are now 23-30 inches tall, even with the original net some where down below...I actually hung a couple of weights on the screen to keep it down, not ideal but the weight should help them pushing too much further lol.

I was going to use the left over net hanging on the end to try to slower some of the uneven canopy, was not working well without a tight frame so I skipped it and instead did a little super cropping and LST bending. T

Things are quite bushy but I have been plucking a bit everyday, mostly from the bottoms. I saw @Cold$moke doing some heavy pruning but I seem to be too chicken to bust off many leaves, also I don't know exactly what I should be plucking from tops, they all look good and "needed" haha! any tips appreciated but I am getting a good air flow from top and bottoms and only seen a couple leaves that start doing the condensation thing when resting on each other. I go in every night and shake things around. I also still have beam and shimmers of light coming though right to the bottom, its not a dark shadow like with my non SCROG grows before.

I did a side project for my light. I was finding the way the light hood was setup was not optimal for a light mover. I would get better coverage if the hood was rotated 90. Light rail apparently has what they call a "robo stik" to do exactly this but I was not going to be paying $100 for a stick being the cheapo I am so off to the hardware store.

Got a 1 foot piece of steel with holes (perfect!) and a couple of eye bolts, washers and nuts. all in $8.40. The eye bolts would allow me to move the light even higher if needed.

Got my wife to help hold things for me in case it decided to come crashing down on my babies. Took a little work to get things balanced. worked out very well

Yep looking like little beasts:)

You can trim how ever your comfy with

Besides the very best results come from running a strain at least 2 to 3 times especially if you're beginner.

Each time you will learn what you can get away with and what you should do differently.

My set up is not dailed and should not be seen as a source of information but entertainment ;)

Especially since i have so much going on with new strains lights nutes ect. So im kinda like a noob again

Now that being said your canopy is a little thicker then i run but thats just a personal thing.

If you want me to do some doodling take a side shot showing the canopy down to the stem
And an overhead shot and ill draw what i would do :)

Just remember i dont consider myself an expert just well seasond ha ha

Sure! I am not used to having this much mass man. Usually the ladies pruned themselves by dropping but I swear I got some shoots coming right from under the hydroton somewhere LMAO and I just pulled the nice green cotyledons and 1 blade leafs some nights ago, they were still nice and green and happy.

I will get some pics tonight hopefully. I'll throw up a vid of the canopy I took last night also.
