I get that. But who says the spectrum of the sun is what gives you that? And no matter how closely you match sunlight's spectrum, its not the same.
well im more or less trying to mimic weather patterns and the sun, not every day is hot, some days are windy and cooler. some days are hot. i feel like some days the plants grow those terpines and some day the grow their mass more. some days they are under clouds getting water under a dimmer light and they may get a filtered spectrum of light through the clouds or reflections from the moisture in the atmosphere or w.e im not saying im going to do it just wondering if its a good idea or not, i cant see a down side can you?

I feel like the main reason indoor has the potential to be better than outdoor is that you can maintain the perfect growing conditions indoor. Obviously you can grow great weed outside but I can tell you with absolute certainty the weed that can grow in my cold cloudy wet state is nowhere near as good as what comes out of sunny california.

thats my issue, im in Alaska, the light cycles and weather here are just dumb. but up here not many people grow really tasty bud at the pot shops. i mean theres a fair amount of quality buds and some goood super tasty stuff every now and then but it is few and far between. idk just think its a good idea is all, just needs to be dialed in

I think the growers are just bad at growing. I know nothing at the rec shops around me is what i would consider "top shelf"
