Think I over dried my bud...

Well, Had to do a 5 am. Emergency harvest and get it outta the woods before the hunters found it. Really, really sucked. April 28-Oct 17... BUT it was time anyhow.

The big issue I am having is I think I over dried my bud. I build a bud dryer... IT was staying at 72-74 F all night and then somehow once I got back from work today it was at 92 F.. That in itself is really depressing.

Then I opened my box to find pretty crispy buds. I had almost an Lb wet off this plant and now it probably no more then a 1/4. All fried and crispy.

What can I do to try to get it back?

A wet paper towel in the jars?

It smokes fine, just a little harsh... too dry type.bongsmilie

Thks...

I read slices of bread and it will pull the moisture out of the bread. I also read moist paper towel not touching the weed will put moisture back. The last post I have also read here and there. It depends on if you want a possible "taste" absorbed into your stuff.

Also heard both of the orange peel, and wet paper towel tricks, or a 3rd-add some "wet" weed into the mix and shake and burp as usual during cure to add moisture back in.

Well from the time I read the first post and put a moist paper towel in, put it in my jars and sealed them, placed em in my safe and smoked a bowl of the dry shit... It has already made most of the buds come back soft... I only have a total of 81 grams though... Not too bad for my first total grow but I wish it was more. Good thing is there are NO seeds!

I like the idea of using orange peels, lemon, and apples to cure. I cut 2 slices of each and put one in each jar. I took the paper towels out. Should I leave the peels in there a lil longer (hr of so) and then crack them for an hr. or so? and repeat till I get a satisfactory water content?

Absolute best is using a fan leaf or two off a mother plant. A moistened sponge glued (glue it when dry then moisten it) to the top of a mason jar works too, just do not let it come in contact with your material.
