Awesome. I'll get it today and pick up the inkbird and a dehuey

Thanks for the thread BTW. I just dried up 2 plants and near the 4th or 5th day summer just comes out of nowhere and my drying temps went up to 80f. I'm done drying this way (hanging in laundry room) cause it was stressful.

Edit - just found the 20 bottle koolatron for $90..hmm decisions, decisions.
Go with the 20 bottle, it’s worth the price for the extra room. The 12 bottle will be pretty small once you add in the dehumidifier.

just lookin at all my parts on the floor...gonna attack soon, from the 5th this month been drying 6 plants and had them manicured/brown bagged with a plastic grocery bag shell to prevent moisture loss, and they smell/feel/smoke pretty fucking awesome, I did a classic hang dry and this months temps are FUCKING PERFECT its been 70/57 all this time, and I just place a spot heater in my 3x3 with a window intake and outhrough the tent opening..I'm not wanting to set them in the Koolatron at this point since I believe I'm 13 days in dry and the moisture/smell is killer so far, and bagging early is Hay Hay City...and I am not a Horse (family guy)...but I wonder if coasting em in the thing would expand and do something like a 3 weeker maybe..otherwise I was thinking of riding out with bag/tent wind tunnel and then grovin em up to store in the Kannatron

My fan blows like a normal PC type fan. It does cut on and off with the dehumidifier, but should run just like any other small fan. I would double check the wiring if it’s very weak. The rest of the build is looking good!

Thank you sir!

Upon further review...it's hummin :) It feels low cause I have a larger CPU fan with a controller that makes it go fuckin wild in the dry tent...at Day 14 of a classic Dry and they look like they could go another 7 days..I read back about syncing a Hang Dry with the Kannatron, but not sure if I wanna do my experimenting in the middle of an already good Dry..this month has been a dry blessing

did an ambient temp test, got the Set Humidity on the old InkBird to 64.5F and set the fridge temp to 66F...doesn't seem to get above that in the setting..Its a damn fridge...so I digress, the cycle of de humidification kicks at 65.5F and looks to take the Shmidt Dehuey peltier around 1-3 min to kick in, then temp goes invariably from 68F-70F, and humidity looks to be going around 66.5F-67F and drops to 63.5F in a room that's probably around 68F to 70F degrees..I think the litle guys doin a good job, fuck I will double stack this, maybe get a bigger for stores, this is a great goddamn tool, again thank you for doing what we all had in our minds watching Cannatrol

Would a temp controlled cigar humidor essentially work the same? I was looking at this one, the only issue is it looks like you can only raise the humidity and not lower it. Also I'm not sure about the fans inside https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ktaxon-25L-Electric-Cigar-Humidors-For-150-Counts-Cooling-Heating-Control-System-with-Digital-Hygrometer-Spanish-Cedar-Lined-Box-Gift-Father-Friends/1657946173?athbdg=L1600&adsRedirect=true
It should work the same but it's half the size - the koolatron is 48L

Why would this not work with a compressor based fridge?
Compressor based fridges only have one "speed" which makes the humidity difficult to control. one way around that is bagging the weed to reduce fluctuation (or someone in here used pizza boxes). Search "lotus cure"

Would there be any benefit to added the Dehumidifier inside a Compressor unit? Or would it just not be able to keep up?

Hello all. Great thread, it's got my attention. Been a long time viewer but not a frequent poster here.
So I have built one of these fridges for my small operation.
Everything seems to work ok. I ran it for a few hours to test while empty. My temps didn't seem to shift at all while my DH was running so it seems I am ready as soon as the plants are. I am still a number of weeks from harvest.
I am posting to try and get things clear in my head before I start.
Looking for the best starting settings on the temp and Inkbird settings for the DH.
What is the best settings for the initial chop and into the fridge.
What % should I set the RH to start off before slowly ramping it down?
I presume for the 1st few days the DH will be running quite a lot. What DH diff should be set on the Inkbird for the start?
