Having problems: I am at day 10 from sprout and she hasn't grown at all. I did some research and I think that I have mold growing in The Tron, which is keeping her from growing. From what I have read, this can be easily fixed, and she can be salvaged, by increasing the air flow and drying out the soil. I am considering the following:
1.) replace the 25-watt incandescent germination light with a 23 watt 6500k cfl
2.) feed her Multitotal, ( basically a pond enzyme), to convert the mold to food
3.) increase air flow/wind to prohibit the growth of anymore mold
Any ideas, comments or criticisms would be very much appreciated.

Yes you are... Lol man I would pull that cube out and put it on the window sill let some light and fresh air to it Im not familiar with a tron but it's just like a self-contained Green house ? I would have to say that humidity is at rain forest levels and the airflow is minimal if any, I've used peroxide before to kill mold and disinfect my cloner and it worked great maybe get a spray bottle soak it down and then let it dry up all the way, good luck man wish I was more help

Did you apply the peroxide directly to the sprout or just the soil? I left the plastic wrapper on the rockwool cube, should I have taken that off before I planted?
Yes you are right, the humidity levels are quite high, but they were with my last grow too. I didn't have the "germination" bulb last grow so didn't use it, I just went directly with the 6500k after it sprouted, which is a more powerful light, plus I used the residual coco from my last grow and just added new coco to it. I think that these two things have gotten me mold. Do you think that I can salvage this or should I start over again?

I was told years ago that as a sprout grows it is giving off THC; so the idea was to collect as much THC and feed it back to the plant. I did the same thing last time and didn't have a problem.
The guy that showed me that started his plants in a plastic germination station. It looks a lot like this:

Granted, he started his with nothing but water and I tried to duplicate this in soil by using that cut up cup to create a dome effect, but didn't have a problem last time, but I was using fresh coco and a more powerful light too.

The lights not the issue you can start a seed with any reading lamp but yours is a moisture issue in my opinion I would take everything out spray the whole thing with some type of antifungal cleaner let it air dry over night and start fresh with nice clean and dry growing environment, and then just figure a way to get some type of steady air flow and control humidity I don't know which tron you have but they look pretty cool the ones I seen have vertical lighting all the way around.

I will get some pics of them up tomorrow. Haven't thought about a name, just hoping they don't seed themselves the hell out. I'm thinking if they do come through without herming it may be some very good bud. The SODK gets pretty freaking huge for an auto (the one that didnt herm on me gave me right around 3oz.) and the Heisenberg Special is just such a great plant with its flavors and very potent high, I would love to get a mix of the two. I hoping for the best but preparing for the worst lol. They look pretty good for being outdoors this early in the season and they got compost tea yesterday and today so they should be doing great.

I think that I am going to try to salvage this grow by changing out the light, letting everything dry completely and then hit her with Multitotal just to see what happens. If it doesn't work out I have three other seeds to play with; if it works then I have salvaged my grow and I will know what to do in the future if this happens again.

First off you always have to take the plastic off of the cube so the roots can grow out. Second I would not use the germination light at all. You have flouro's in the tron right? Its hard to burn a plant, even a seedling with flouro's. I germ under 400 watt MH and never really have any problems. I think you need to work on getting some air flow into the tron, That usually helps. And what Im seeing in the pics looks more like algae than mold. Mold is usually black, grey, or funky colors like red and pink. Algae is almost always green and if things are very moist without much airflow that is a great breeding ground for bad things to grow. Don't be afraid to put your baby plant under some light. They adapt quickly. As for what to do to get rid of the algae, that is not so easy without throwing out your soil washing your pot and starting again. The only thing I can think to do is maybe put some newspaper around your plant to cover the soil and wet it down. It should act like a mulch and keep that algae at bay. Algae is bad because it will strip your soil of nutrients. Good Luck Bro.

To be honest with you, I don't know which model I have either. I bought my Tron on a CL deal. The seller claimed that it was one of the first ones built, but he never used it. It has these double fluorescent tubes, six of them, all the way around the Tron and one smaller bulb that hangs down from the center; but that's all I know. Some other people on RIU have or are using the same model that I have too. This is only my second run with it, so I am still learning about it; as well as growing too.

Brilliant advice Bertaluchi! Before I dig her up and wrap her in newspaper, I will try the Multitotal thing first, just to see what happens. If I am right, this should take the algae/mold and break it down and feed it to the plant. If I am wrong, then I start over.

That's silly. The sprout has no THC in it. If it did you couldn't feed it back to the plant.
Ditch the cup. It is causing problems. Go outside and look, do you see cups on the grass or any other plants?
I'm not trying to be rude. Just read back over your statement and you will see how silly that sounds.
Holding moisture in on a seedling increases the odds of damping off.

That's what I was thinking about also, damping off. I lost quite a few back in the day due to that. I usually only use "domes" with clones, and hell that's only just a few days, or until the clones develop roots. You got to watch bro UniDragon cause some plp on here will tell you anything and try to have you doing all kinds of crazy shit bud. Just stick to us guys that know our asses from a hole in the ground and you won't go wrong. We won't let you..
