because the sachet contains 65 grams of shooting powder. when you do the math, you get 2.6 :p

you can also use a half teaspoon per gallon!!!!!! when under 25 gallon for the first application.... then you use the 1 teaspoon per gallon for the second instruction dose rate

hope that makes sense
I only have 7 gallon res in each garden, so I use the scale to weight the powder. I use 2g/4g per gallon, though.

ive had the exact opposite experience with the 2 companies...

ive only emailed H&G twice, both over a month ago... no response.

ive emailed canna probably over 25 times and it never took longer than 3 days.

no worries tho.. i have respect for both companies and i use products from both.
and i know you have been using canna madazz but i think you will be happy with H&G... i have slowly been switching over.

So i haven't been on in a while.. i was rockin hard for a bit then came the fking jackers goddamnit.. stupid fking partner couldnt keep his mouth shut.. atleast they came at the wrong time and didn't get a harvest.. got 8 1k ballasts, couple of 400w ballasts, CHHC1, R/O machine, Tri meter, spare ph meter, co2 bottle & regulator, xbox, unused unopened large bottles of FF.. Makes me so fking mad i cant even describe it. On the other hand, my paranoia level has gone down significantly and i can come on here and give you guys the skinny on HG. Anyway, that being said (sorry had to vent to someone), i have been doing side by side runs of HG and Canna. Very similiar results. I have settled on using the Canna line w/ Roots Excelurator throughout veg and rhizo through early flowering. i USED RO water before (now some fucker has my machine) and only supplemented with a little CalMag. Beautiful harvests. I was pulling in the range of 10-11.5 on 6 lights. 4 w/ querkle under them 2 w/ heavy duty fruity. HDF sucks btw, atleast the sativa pheno blows. My querkle was overripe in 9 weeks, and after 12.5 the HDF could have kept going. Shit takes like 2 weeks to start really flowering. I had the indica HDF pheno and threw it out early in my growing career, my logic being "why keep this one that grows so much slower?".. LOL, ignorance is bliss. Anyway, the results are in Canna is a superior product in my mind, just the boost is a little expensive. Roots Excelurator is the only product in the HG line that i have found that i just "HAVE TO HAVE". That and the Magic Green works pretty well too. I kept one plant of each of my genetics and have left them at a friends house neglected for a month. Just sprayed them w the magic green so i will post some results soon. P.S. ????CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF I NEED TO PH BALANCE MY FOLIAR SPRAY????

i used to be a Canna man and nobody could tell me shit.....that is until i found House & Garden.

I think House & Garden outshines Canna nutrients for the simple reason of little to no salt built. Also House & Garden is reenforced with cal/mag so no need to go out and buy extra supplements like cal/mag as my House & Garden grows perfectly with just all of their additives. With Canna i have to add cal/mag when using RO water.

and House & Garden seems to be hella more concentrated than Canna, which in the long run means more savings on buying nutes

and btw, i never pH my foliar (Magic Green)

but that doesnt mean im not wrong though

dont adjust the ph of foiliar sprays unless its like up to 8 or down to 4.

i like the canna coco A & B better than H&G A & B but thats only bcuz i stopped using RO water and H&G doesnt like that.

im liking the roots exl so far and i freakin love bud xl

So i'm at the end of week 2 of flower and some of my leaves are not lookin so good. It looks like Flo is a bit nute burned (i read that it likes lower nutes.) That's not a major concern it's only two out of the 12 and I have low expectations for those two already. More importantly some of the sour diesel have rust-colored spots on the leaf edges and extremities. I changed the nute solution 7 days ago and I had changed it 7 days before that. Another RIU member had mentioned maybe a cal/mag def so I was thinking of getting a cal/mag supplement. Can you take a look at the pics on my grow journal and let me know what you think?

Thanks!

cant really find you album, i looked in your journal though

judging from pics, they dont look bad.... but maybe the yellow hues from the HPS light is throwing me off

but you have a few options here.

i remember seeing you are running tap water... and i told you to go half strength if you are using tap water..... sooooo you can either increase the nute strength a little more if you would like.

i also notice you got a couple of different strains in the same system..... so option number uno may not be a good idea if that one strain you mentioned is already nute burnt....however...option numero dos is you can spray House & Garden Magic Green and foliar feed. that should clear you up in 2 days...make take longer.

option 3...keep everything the same and just add cal/mag if need be. however house & garden a & b base nutes contain about 11-12% of cal/mag (its in the first bottle...the "a") sooo increasing nute strength will work...but your other plant you said seems to like low nute concentration

so its a catch 22...

your choice

A hydro table even with seed individuals from the same strain can be picky enough.. Multistrain would be hell..
Yes, a total rookie manuever. It has been hell and I won't be repeating the mistake. Kind of like trying to use both hydroton and SureToGrow in the same Ebb & Gro system. As soon as you learn a little about porosity you realize what a monstrously bad idea it is.:wall: LOL. Well at least I'm learning. Albeit the hard way.

I see a RO system in my future. If I can survive this first grow that will definitely be on the upgrade list.

Foilar feed. Ahh, now there's something that never crossed my mind. Good suggestion.

Yah, I don't think the Flo strain can take higher concentrations. If the foilar doesn't work I'll try the Cal/Mag. I'd really like to stick with just H&G if possible.

Does your bottle of Aqua Flakes A list cal/mag? Mine lists:

.25% Ammoniacal Nitrogen (hmm Ammoniacal?)
3.75% Nitrate Nitrogen
1.0% Soluable Potash

Derived from: calcium nitrate, Ammonium Nitrate, Nitric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide.

The Aqua Flake B lists:

1.5% Nitrate Nitrogen
3.4% Phosphate
6.5% Soluble Potash
0.8% Magnesium

Derived from: Nitric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Phosphoric Acid Anhydride, Magnesium Sulfate

Coincidentally, I did email the local H&G rep but I haven't heard back yet.:-?

Thanks a million for the advice!
