Hello,
I really tried to read through the whole thread but did not see what I was looking for,so..
I have a new system setup running coco mat, I noticed the Canna A+B with the Cannazym it will drop my waters PH about 2 points, is that normal?

I also was looking for some insight into watering with a flood and drain system. I have two strains going and one is loving life (OG Kush) and the other (Sour Desiel) is not looking so hot. I just switched over the Canna Nutes to help the sad looking Sour D's. Right now I am watering 3 minutes every 30 minutes. Thanks and great thread

I am growing some clones in canna coco. they are about 2 weeks old

feeding
fist 1 week 3 ml canna A-b even amounts per gallon.

second week
6 ml A+b even amounts 1 ml roots accelerator per gallon

ro water all nutrients are getting a base of 200 ppm cal- mag plus.

water ph is 5.7 to 6.

Not to sure why the leaves are growing in weird. any ideas.

Temps are little high 80 to 87 f I have been doing small watering mostly every day.

yes it is normal for the nutrients to change the pH.

canna coco and canna coco nutrients aren't made for flood and drain systems, so i dont know what to tell on that one.

What makes in incompatible for a flood system? Why would it not say that on the packaging or the website? Thanks JR

Well the nutrients arent designed to be re-used... They have their own line of nutrients designed for recycling called "Aqua".

I did pull the quote below off the Canna website and I think it may be on the packaging but maybe not?

"Coco is easy to use dissolves directly and is extremely suitable for growing in pots or with ”run to waste” systems."

...Having said that, you can still do it but don't be surprised if you run into complications. The main problem would probably be major pH stability issues and possible nutrient lockout and defs. down the line.

Use the boost through out flower from the start of bloom... and use the pk around weeks 2 - 5 or the whole time if you are so inclined. Use it for at least a week.

when the temps are high like that it is wise to use a lower EC...you could try that... and maybe cut back on the everyday watering and see if those changes help or the problem is something else.

Sweat deal... I knew it was calcium def. but im glad I was right cuz calcium def and overdose look kinda similar but I knew you couldnt be overdosing on the 47 ppms of calcium in your tap water.... anyhoo, glad it cleared up!

once the plants are established it would be ideal to water everyday, however you should use the weight of the pot to tell u when to water... when the container has lost close to half its water weight then it is the proper time to water... never let your coco get dry.

Yeah I saw that too, I am changing out my nutes every 7 days and could step up the changes if I start to see some problems until I use all the nutes up. Then get something else I guess. I tell you what though, the Sour Diesel clones that I originally bought Canna for are looking better and starting to make a comeback. Thanks for the input and I appreciate it. Take care JR

yea people do it all the time but sometimes it turns into more trouble then its worth... Every 7 days is often enough where you might be fine.

hey jberry sorry its late just wanna share with u photos of a grow i did before i met u then after reading both your threads and asking a million and 1 question this is the next grow i did. im not going to share how much i yielded caz i always get ridiculed but the yield if deffinatly noticable and more then double. once again thanx for all the effort u have put in answering my questions and helping me improve yield.

the 1st pic is before is of a plant before Jberry and the rest of the pics with after jberry and of my last grow.
