Sort of overwhelmed to be honest lads... I started out with a 300w cfl and added 2 cf grow 50w cobs. Im scrogging so penetration isnt an issue. Im just looking for a brighter more effecient light, I can afford better but nowhere near the best lol (those strip builds look class tho!)
basically ive €150 to upgrade with
And im in an 80x80
Well the 315cmh would light up that space proper nice and be a big step up from cfl. But even the cheapest maxbrite kits with top end bulb would come in at 250euro.

Then there is a 260w Quantum board kit by horticultural lighting group from DIYLED.co.uk, that would also kick ass in that space but its again double your budget. It would keep the power usage down and perform but a budget is what it is. These are about as good as LED get though.

Just go with a 400w HPS digital ballast and a quality bulb. That should be well within your budget, light you up fine and be an improvement on a 300w CFL. Sounds like your already using about that in power so its a good choice.

Edit, this is the cheapest cmh kit with Philips bulb

I have the same one with flowering bulb but use it in my veg tent. Nice lights, just not square wave like the expensive ones are.. Still not sure how that effects things but its a bloody lovely spectrum all round. :bigjoint:

Hope you and yours are well mate!
