I switched up to a 400w hps from a 250w and thought it was due to that, but yeah im running an extractor and still creeping to 32
Anybody finding it hard to keep things cool the last couple of days??
The coolest I can get my tent to is 30 and that’s with running a 8 inch fan/filter is that normal?
where are you guys venting your hot air? are yous using air cooled hoods or cooltubes?

im running a 400 watt and 600 watt at the same time and the 400 tent runs at about 26/27 and my 600 tent runs about 24/25 because it has the L1 Rvk and the 400 tent has the A1 Rvk. both fans are 6 inch and both are on a Variac speed controller dialled down to 1st setting

Maybe try bringing in cool air from outside

Intresting reading this as I'm seeing the same. The high humidity makes it harder too?
Myself i had 30 degress at canopy there at 14:00 ish.

Ive opened more doors to the grow room area, added a (filtered) passive intake opposite my fan driven one and switched my 5 inch ram inline exhaust fan to the higher setting. Dropped to 27c with 55% humidity.

Question plz. Should the inlet ducting for exhaust be at the top of the of the insode of the tent or alongside the level of the lights reflector. Obviously heat rises but its source is at the reflector. What do you reckon?
This cool tube thing seems like a good idea as im having difficulty keeping yemps at canopy below 30c with the 600w hps at the 40cm supposed ideal yer man below recommendeds. Good channel that incidentally....

Thanks guys for all the info on the lights.

If someone can tell me what feed I need to buy exactly Id be grateful please.

And Budsahoi you said 'Nip out the top of the plant and remove lowest leaves'. I don't know how to do that, is there a video on youtube you could point me to please.
"Nip out the tops" he meant top the plants. There's load of info out there about topping. Growweedeasy would be the best tutorial to follow.

Both will get the job done in the same fashion. I'm actually using the 3 part Advanced Nutrients at the min and find very easy to use. You can run it from veg to flower with the same mixture. I can send you on my schedule if you go with the AN.

I was the same, my tent usually sits around 26C with 3x 600w HPS. If I bump it up to 660w the temps go through the roof and that was in the middle of the heat wave when we were getting 30C+ outside

The higher the room temp, the more moisture can be held in the air. So when the temps rise you can allow for the humidity to rise. Check out the VPD chart, here's a good explanation

With good air movement, the heat shouldn't really build up in any one spot. Keep a fan blowing at the open wing lights. I always keep my filter in the top corner of the tent out of the way but you can try it out in different places to see what works best in your setup. Your intake should be lower than your canopy so it circulates around the room. If it's too close to the exhaust you'll lose all the fresh air

Hi all, new grower here. I have almost everything I need but am absolutely tormenting myself over what lights to go with.

growweedeasy recommends viparspectra 450w (200W actual draw) and people over there seem to have got very favorable results with it. That being said any time I search it on reddit or here it's just post after post saying they're garbage, go with these COB / DIY solutions. As Im just getting my feet wet I'm really not prepared to put in the time/cost/effort of going down this route at this point in time. Maybe in the future, but honestly I just want something that will be reliable and produce high quality bud - not looking to go mad here.

So, should I cancel the viparspectra and go HPS? Something else? Like I said genuinely don't know what the best option should be. My tent is 60x60x140cm, hoping to run 1-2 plants max. Input appreciated!

If you want to go with a cheap LED I don’t think it makes a difference which one you choose. They all give the same results.

Or you could spend the same money on a 400w dual spec hps kit. You get the bulb reflector and ballast for under 80. Check them out on eBay. As it’s your first grow it won’t make too much difference in the quality. As you lean more and start to dial things in you can get a better quality HPS kit.

Here’s a lumii 400w dual spec kit for £65

For tents, I use the secret jardin range. Cheap and get the job done but won’t last for more than a few grows. The seams start to rip around the poles.

My personal experience is 1.2m tent a 600hps and a couple of clip on fans and and exhaust fan and filter is the best night set up to do 5 plants it will grow enough to make it worth your while

Cheap China lights are worth it unless u just want to veg under them

I'd love to say I can grow organic everything but I fail time time again my leaves yellow and the plants look like shit.

Now I just canna a&b from seed to flower with great success

That's the totally honest answer

Yeah my airflow isn't ideal but im kind of limited for getting caught reasons. Ive moved some things around this evening so will see if it makes a difference.

I ran a 250w cfl in a tent that size with good results for money spent for about a year, then I upgraded to a 250w hps and got better results, although I had also got better from experience at this point.
You could run 2 or 3 small plants in it.

Trust me man everything i use is in a low key way to keep under the radar. i have neighbours on both sides so have to keep it on the down low
Growing in a box room in a terrace house is worrying. Curtains always pulled and the windows open a crack. I remember it well pulling air from u Der the curtain and exhausting in to the house for heat and no where redirect it

Fuck it we do what works
