The Grow Shack
Dimensions
are 4ft x 4ft x 7.5ft . Its a split cab , there are 2 doors , bottom space is for veg. and the top is for flowering .
Ventilation is provided by a 4in inline fan from Hydrofarm . The inline fan pushes air out through a 4in dryer hose up through the top . It pulls through the light hood and carbon filter . The carbon filter is from Canfilter it's the cheapest smallest on they make . You can diy one , but just drop the 38 dollars on this one it works great and has a prefilter. A 4in hose clamps directly to it . I have 2 4in light proof ducts between the veg and flower area . These consist of 4in snaptite duct,4in adjustable 90's ,and 4in close access metal dryer hookups. One side has a diy blower that forces warm air from the 24/0 veg area. The passive intakes are located at the bottom of veg . 2 4in dryer baffels . Panty hose is clamped over the intakes on the outside to prevent bugs and dust .I have my inline fan hooked up to a 3 speed ceiling fan switch .It runs on low most of the time .
Lighting consists of 250w HPS for flowering and multi cfls in veg mostly 23-26w.
Medium is Happy Frog Soil , party cups,#1 and#3 pots in veg . I'm using 5 gallon buckets in flower . I mix in different ingredients for veg and flower .
Construction consists of prefabed panels . Each panel has a frame built from 2x2x8's . I then take 4mil black construction plastic/visqueen and staple it tight over the frame . Then flip it over and staple in some insulation , this part gets hard because the thinnest insulation is for 2x4walls , because now as you staple the outer covering on you have to keep flattening out the insulation to squeeze it in.

For the roof panel plan ahead of time and frame it for hooks and extra supports for lighting and exhaust ports .

The front panel requires some extra thought too ,for how you want the doors to be .The doors are built the same way and overlap with a door weatherstrip for a airtight seal.

Panels are stood up and attached to each other using L brackets . I take and use black duct tape to seal up the seams and it matches the outer covering . I quick note , Try to use white panda film for the inner covering then no mylar is needed for reflecting light. I couldnt afford it at the time .

I also have a table built inside that seperates the top and bottom .It is free standing and fits the inside dimension of the enclosure .Top and bottom is air and light tight from each other aside from the air ventilation. All in all it wasnt that bad to build ,I did it in a day and the cost was around 120 dollars not counting equipment .It was a one chamber enclosure to start with , I gradually up graded it to what it is today. It holds temp well even when its 0 outside I can keep it above 60 and actually have tuned it to maintain constant temps .

Going to be photo updating flowering plants tonight . Purple Flo is looking delicious , you will see what happens when Safer Soap products are used ,and how wonderful Medibud is looking ,I think she will be my best plant yet along with some different fertilizing techniques .I,m not familiar with how she flowers but she is a little over 2 weeks in with some impressive branching and fairly tight nodes.

All the flowering girls got R.O. water and 2tsp per gallon mollassas. The PE scrog and the Purple Flo are in there 7th week .Both are overfertilized and were flushed 5 days ago.The other PE is just slightly burned and Medibud is A ok . I'm going to just give them water for the next time too , soil is a little hot for liquid nutes . Think I might have figured out a budget super soil recipe on that one whoaa .
