The great fake election of 2008

OK,

So I don't sleep well at times....and last night happen to be one of those times.

I got to thinking about the elections, and for the first time I stepped back and took a look at the whole picture.

I think that the election was a stage act, just the same as it was with the 2000 and 2004 elections.....you know the ones where we elected one guy but the other guy got into office instead?

So here's the deal.

The powers that be, know that the american public is upset to say the least. Our economy is shit, Bush has the lowest approval rating in the history of american presidents, we are still in a war and nobody is sure why we are even there in the first place....etc etc etc .
They know that putting another republican in office would not only upset americans, but the world in general. With a new face in office (and a black face to boot) people will feel better about the direction the country is going. When in all reality everything has stayed the same....only the faces have changed.

McCain was a puppet. He was thrown into this election knowing full well that he was going to lose. I think they set McCain up to run just so they could get Sara Palin's name out there for 2012.
Think about how the McCain campaign was run. He almost bailed from the race back in 07 when hes run started to crash down around him. He wasn't able to raise even 1/4 of what was needed to continue his race. Half way threw the campaign he gave up....literally. He stopped making phone calls, knocking on doors, and trying to raise money. Then all of a sudden he's back, running for president with the backing of the entire republican party.

Now look how the campaign money was spent. In the key states that were absolutely needed for McCains victory, they lacked not only the funds for advertisement, but also the visits from McCain himself.
In sates such as Florida, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Obama outspent McCain 4:1 in advertising. Obama visited key states such as Florida 16 times where McCain only went there 7 times.

Ok now look at the final day. Nov 4th nobody knows whos gonna win. They can project Obama is gonna win....but I remember going to bed in 2000 thinking Al Gore was the new president and waking up to G.W. Bush in office. So nobody knows whos gonna be president till all polls close.
Did anyone eles notice that the stage that McCain had was 1/4 of the size that Obama had?
Obama had room for 150k people to attend with a huge stage surrounded by bullet proof glass.
McCain had a little stage and enough room for about 3000 people.
Seems like they planned this a few weeks ahead of time knowing that Obama would need a bigger stage and room for alot of people.....Now how can they prepare for this even a week ahead of time without some prior knowledge of the outcome?
If McCain would have won then they would have been screwed for space, and his setting just would not have been very presidential. Could you imagine Obama giving his concession speech on his stage while the new president had that little tiny stage?

Now I'm just pointing out the stuff in this election that set my bullshit meter off. I say it looks like a setup. Some may call me a paranoid stoner....but I'm just calling it how I see it (Or as the new president might say "I'm just keeping it real")

With that said id like to personally add: I truly hope that Obama will be everything he has said hes gonna be, I hope he can improve relations with the middle east as well as the rest of the world and the mind sets of americans. I hope he is the best president of my life time.....But I am also a realist...I think everything will stay the same, only the faces have changed.

I concur that elections are fake. We have a 2 party system, that isn't all that different, alienating pretty much any other would be party.

What we end up with are 2 choices. Vote #1 and eat shit, vote #2 and eat shit. Each of us try to choose the shit that smells less offending to us, but we're still eating shit.

Most people didn't think we'd see a black president until recently. Perhaps we'll see the first independent president as well.

i can see where ur going.....evrything except sara palin in 2012...60 something percent of ppl said she was not qaulified to be vice president and u think she's gonna become president...the republican party has to pick who they want to run and they will not pick her...

and ill add the only reason they picked sara palin...is because barrack is black and is supported by hillary clinton..so all the minorities and women would probably vote for barrack..so mccain picked palin hoping to gain support of feminist..which backfired..they figured two white men would not be able to do it

True true. But of course the republicans didn't think they where going to win.

I think Obama was a HORRIBLE choice for the democratic party. I mean everyone hates Bush he has the lowest ratings for a president. This one was in t eh bag for Obama before he even started running. I mean for mccain to get as many votes as he did is rediculous. Im talking about the Popular vote, the winner takes all electoral college makes it look like a blow out. Even so it should have been like 99 percent obama 1 percent other

Interesting point and i see why you say this.

The reason i say that they are gearing up for Palin for 2012 is simple....Its the Hillary for the republicans.

If you look at Hillary Clinton when she was the first lady, she was very docile, kept her mouth shut and played her part.
Now when she ran for Senate and even President, she was a completely different woman. She had clearly been coached by a body language and interpersonal skills experts. Making her into the pit bull you see today.

I think Sara Palin is the next in line for training. She will be around in 2012 is my prediction.

Obama is a bigger draw. Look at the rallys each candidate held. That One played to the larger crowds compared to McCain.
