i think each blumat jr syphon out of its own little res. and you cant adjust them like the good ones, the speed the water comes out at is determined by the height of the res also the water weeps out of the ceramic cone i believe. think they are good for house plants

Yeah I read 75 ml per 24 hrs. But I’m guessing it has to be dry for it to open so cycling may be a problem leaving it too dry. Not sure.

that's the one you stick a water bottle on I'm pretty sure.
you definitely Don't want that one
the only blumats i know off is the trompf blumat i gave you a link of where to get them. I couldn't find any on ebay cheaper than what blackswallow sells them for. I did find a hydro store online for cheaper but with shipping it would have been the same or more, but at black swallow they have all the fittings and other extra stuff so you can try and get everything you want/need in one shipment,

think they do the same as the jr blumats just on a smaller scale(a little bottle vs a res hooked up to the Jr) but both are for house plants and aren't recommend for cannabis by cannabis growers that I've seen and i read that whole thread about them 5000+ posts. But hey you want to try be my guest

I’ve got lots of 3 mm tubing fittings etc. I use to run those barb connectors you stab in a main line. Leaky. I now run 3/8 ID hose off a manifold in my res. No more leaky lol.
I only have a couple plants. I would have to make a shelf on a wall to dedicate a soil plant or two to a drip system.

Any idea how much water a 5 gallon pot uses in a day? I know it depends but In general.
The bottle ones look good. With this pandemic I’m not going anywhere soon so to fill a 1 litre bottle every day or two is no big deal. I also run a coco plant so I’m watering daily anyway.

the 3mm tubing for the blumats are a soft silicone so the blumats can pinch it closed, not sure if the tubing you have is the same. They also use 8mm for manifold, so the blumats come with a T barb fitting 8mm-3mm-8mm mine have never leaked, i did read on that big forum people bought fitting from a place called kentsystems in USA that sells barbs and stuff that you can rig up your own manifold with the blumats and some of those leaked not many though, but i never heard of the actual blumat fitting or anything leaking

i honestly don't have the slightest clue..lol
i just slap a 5 gal pale every few days for my flower room, but even when i hand watered id just go in with the pale and water them all by feel, never really measured

I see, they get pinched to stop the flow. Was wondering how that worked.Wonder how the bottle ones open and close?

not sure i know less about them than the jrs which isn't much.
hey give them a shot, let us know if they work. Worst case scenario you have some for your house plants, pretty sure i saw on that thread a few people said they worked good for houseplants

I've been thinking of buying a violin and learning how to play fiddle (seriously). lol

I think we weed growers have it better though compared to some others in this virial pandemic. Not only do we have all the weed we want to smoke, but caring for a bunch of living plants and other biology in your soil is something I personally find extra-rewarding in these trying times.

I have an old friend who is still single (always will be) but is what we would call a "ladies" man now in his 40's who has never gone without for than a few days until last March, and he was going crazy in his big house all alone. Online I suggested he get into growing because he buys crappy weed from the government. Now it's getting annoying, cause he's messaging me every day with his updates on his plants! hahaha. He seems happier though.

Edit: I also keep suggesting he finds a nice lady to settle down with permanently, but he's so resistant to that idea! Any suggestions? lol

I weighed 2 plants both within 10 grams, approximately 20 hrs=120 grams lighter.Ill keep an eye on these and water daily 120ml and see.I have 3 that are the same size, ill water one when it feels light the other 2 will get watered daily.See if i notice a difference in growth.

I ran 50+ blumats with organic super soil and 3 different reservoirs for a couple of runs before i switched to hydro. It was a huge decision to switch to hydro because of the $1K plus i spent on all my blumats plus accessories. Looking to sell 80 lightly used in great condition blumats plus pretty much every fitting, dripper, filter, valve and attachments they come with plus the super flex tubing. Don't even know where to list them though so they're just sitting in my garage atm.

I got pretty good managing so many of them so if you have any questions, i probably have the answer.
