Blumat Like Growth Using a Slow Drip into Soil

I've spent my evening trying to research optimal watering methods which seems easier said than done! After hours of reading I'm concluding the following...

Using blumats will give an increased yield and growth rates. The downside of Blumats for me, is I can't see them affordably for larger plant numbers. Also a bit scary the chance they break and flood the space.

So as I see most commercial grows are using drip systems which I'm also struggling to find details on the timing etc so now my question!

Will plants see Blumat like increased performance, if instead of watering every 2-3 days; I set the timer to drip a bit every half hour or so during lights on, releasing the same amount of water that would have been released over 3 days slowly and spread out?

I guess to really optimize this I'd use a soil tension meter and try to keep optimum moisture levels. Linking it to the solenoid for auto watering is getting a bit much for my current home grow

Sounds logical, just would be tricky to make sure the soil isn't too moist when the plants are young.
You would probably want a more aerated mix that basically can't be over watered.
Many do agree however that having a bit of a dry back can increase resin production and aroma's so some experimentations still need to be done :peace:
