That first pic, I was already on my way home, when I seen some friends in one of our local spots, so I stopped and shot the shit for a bit. Grabbed my buddy's rod and took a drift with it. Bang fish on. Lol first cast. I even said watch me catch one cause this reel is right handed. Hahaa.

So, I've been awake for 39 hours, driven for 8 round trip, spent my morning thawing my reels and guides by breathing on them and constantly breaking ice of them. (-10) brutal cold wind 45km/hr casting all day. I was digressing into a woe is me moment when this fine lady came to say hello. It's all about the grind. That pain, the torture, is all worth it for that moment.
I'm going to bed

Season closes Dec 15. I'll be heading back tomorrow night for one last shot. Can't make it this weekend, and the weather looks like it's turning again with some cold fronts comming in. Cold fronts lock jaws. Hoping for my 50"+ of the year. We shall see what the muskie gods have in store. I'm so hurting today. Getting old. But I won't stop, not till I'm dead, at least.....
Told work my arms in a cast I can't come in ;).

Funny how they generally chew head first.

Sometimes, I think 'whats wrong with me am I fucking nuts???' then I remember all the experiences I've had while most others are nestled cozy in their beds. I like knowing I do things that others can't, or won't. I like pushing my body and mind to points of total exhaustion, where I'm literally falling asleep standing up. I feel that it makes me a stronger person. Fishing is my life. I fucking love it. I love every moment of it (even the moments I hate). I'd do anything to be on the water at any given moment. Ive sacrificed, given blood sweat and tears, I've endured the wind, the ice, the cold, the rain (the googans)....but worst of all, a woman scorned! (If you say you'll be a couple hours and don't come home till 10pm they tend to not like that much)
If the day ends in a y.....I'm fishing it. See the guy standing out on the end of the pier in the storm? That's me catching your fish ;).
Well, off to bed after I water. Grab some zzzs before I grind it out again for the day. Hopefully I'll have a few glory shots to share at the end.
Wish me a fif-ty :hump: :lol:8)
