Hello,
newbie with a quick question here.
Im starting my first budget grow (4x4)
I really want to go down the LED path instead of HPS.
After some research I will probably buy the
"HLG 550 V3 480W Samsung LM301H LED Grow Light" from Kingbrite
What Option do you guys recommend?
2700K
3000K
3500K
4000K
Since im a beginner I will grow autos so maybe 3000K or 3500K?

3000k. Start to finish.
Or you could check out the bava board I posted.
I haven’t got mine yet but it looks ideal. I’m going to use two for autos in my vegetative tent.
I’ll post a review once I run them.

I’ve got the Majo 800’s up and running. 12/12 flower time!

Usually when they say IR they mean far red 730nm.

Yea 730nm is the ir... I have the light and that is what I paid for it... Sight and vendor are legit... I was more curious if anybody has used the 301h samsung diodes yet? If they saw any diff from the 301b? I have a couple qbs (just learning about leds, been an HD guy) but my other two are 3000k 301b +660nm no added 730 or 240(I think the uv is 240?) I just asked suplyer about what diodes wer used... Waiting for a response they are usualy quick to reply...

Ive heard theyre basicly a lm301b but with a protective film, against humidty and sulfurization if you burn/spray sulfur for ipm

Its going to grow nice, its just hard to say anything from the info they give and i think youre the first one here to try one. With china the diode could be anything but usually its it good enough.

Yea ok they told me they wer a new thing wasn't sure how new... I'll be sure to give you guys(and girls) a heads up on how I like it... The friggn price was right and it got to me in less then 2 weeks I was very pleased w that aspect of it...

UVA is usually used. 385nm ish. I could be wrong for your specific brand. LG is used a lot for uv.

I had a spare 2x4 tent and some extra ebb & flow buckets(shopping for a brain on craigslist), so we're already close. We got to talking about lighting last night, and I mentioned the options that Bava and Meijiu have. When looking at the Meijiu lights, I noticed that they offer lights with LM301B supplemented with Epistar 660 NM deep red.

My question is about the deep red. I believe HLG uses Osram for their deep red. Is there a major difference in efficiency or output between the Osram and Epistar deep reds? Would he be better off just getting a board with just Samsung diodes, as opposed to going with one with the supplemental Epistars?

I believe Osram is better.

Meijiu also has a Lm301b with Osram 660 and 730 and LG 385.

They’re new. For a 2 x 4 grab a 240 watt board.

I just started running a Meijiu Lm301b with 660nm epistar and beside that a Lm301b with Osram 660 and 730 and LG 385 a week ago.

Both 3000k Lm301b.

They have them in panels too. Your friend would want a 240-320 watt panel.

Having trouble finding this. Do you happen to have a link? And a link to the Meijiu with Osrams too, if it's not too much to ask? I honestly couldn't find either.
