Tax implications federally for being a caregiver

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this? I need to get out of my line of work due to my back problem. I was thinking of getting a part time job and growing for however many patients that I can legally. Obviously this will change my tax bracket greatly. Caregiver, do you have any experience with this? Is this a way the fed's are going to crack down on the medical mj industry?:leaf:

Its an illegal activity in the eyes of the fed but you still need to pay taxes. There has been an issue with the Fed disallowing any of the deductions related to the income because of its illegal nature. Many dispensaries had their returns audited and adjusted due to this. Basically all income with no deductions makes for a very big tax bill

How can I follow the law with my taxes then? I am hoping that the dispensorys take most of the heat then. I hate to say that but in light of the new laws unfortunately it seems they are setting it up to be every man/woman for themselves.
