I have a HLG135v2 3000k (general use/flowering) in the veg-tent with the clones above. Since I am using it as a veg tent I wish I had gotten the 4000k.

That said it is a small light. You will not be able to grow a big plant with huge flowers, and the 4000k is a spectrum specifically for veg. So yes, I would buy another light. But I would think "primary" light, and keep the 135 for veging and keeping a rotation going. My tent is 3' x 1.5' x 5', and it only lights half well.

My primary light is the 260v2 and you can see the results. It does 2 plants fine, not 3. But next light buy will be the 320 for me. That is about the biggest my closet and ventilation will handle heat-wise. The good thing is they have a dimmer, so I may end up with the 260 in the tent and a better light in the closet come tax time

This is a 'monster-cropped' clone (taken in flower) and I have heard they go crazy like this. Now I see it. They are actually stretching pretty good because the light isn't that strong.

It should be ready for the big lights when I harvest the skunk, but if she keeps doing this I may have to slow-veg the heck out of the skunk clones (if they take) because this could fill my closet easy.

That said, if you've grown plants regular (with a big top-cola) you know that the first two sets of limbs are usually runts and get pruned early. I think that is the reason for keeping the third node.

I did top to 3rd node just didn't clean all the undergrowth on the other plant as it wasn't as healthy as the other plants

I think this is the beginnings of a new tiedown idea. It needs smaller holes (those are about 1/4") so I may jam something between the screen and the soil, but this provides a sturdier pot-top and unlimited tie-down possibilities. Rigging a new pot would take fewer (or no) grommets.

Here was the process after I zip-tied the screen on. The 2-liter to keep soil off the plant and add around the edge, then slowly lift the bottle
I watered in the new soil well with a spray bottle and pushed it around the stem real well.

Good thought. We'll see. It's zinc-coated wire, but I scrubbed it good before use. Also, since it is just at the top, it's not really sitting in moisture. And being where it is that soil dries out quick.

I think it might be a problem if it went deeper, so that might factor into trying to make a 3-gallon into a tall 4 gallon. If there weren't those grommets to fasten to, I might have gone with sinking it in the soil deeper to make it sturdy, so happy accident I guess.

I do like that it keeps the pot edge sturdy.

I take back the red-pistils thing. it must have been an anomaly. I still don't see any with the naked eye, but they are all getting thin.

After (7pm)

Pruned 2 fan leaves that had substantial shoots, bent those one way and the top the other, and there was another shoot in the center I just left. I added a hook on the stem itself, pulling the opposite direction because it is still wobbly.

Day 29 since the flip, and still no brown's to speak of. This is crazy. But they are still getting fat so I hope that translates into a better harvest.

If anyone can find red hairs in the pic, let me know LOL I have never had a plant go a month in flower without them. This could get interesting

I'm liking this free-weed thing. I figure if I can grow monster-clones, regular clones taken in veg should be no problem. Next will be a Northern Lights big-pot, big-plant with a ling veg, and hoping to get a second light for the veg tent and start a SOG in there.

Says 8-9 weeks. I have a feeling that is going to be lengthened because of the long slow veg. Everything has been dragging since the flip. I mean, she's getting fat, but the 1st pistil took almost 2 weeks, for me it has been about 7days. First brown has been about 21 days. Today is 30. So I am guessing maybe a week longer, but that lines up with the week longer for the first brown. It make sense, just don't know for sure what caused it. Cooler temps than last grow? Lower humidity? more frequent watering? lower strength nutes more often? Who knows. -

The pistils on a few flowers look to be browning, but in a weirdly uniform fashion just on the tips:

With the low humidity I have been watering or feeding her about every 2.5 days. Watering in the am before lights-out, but feeding in the pm at lights-on a few days later.

So at 30 days since flip when I should be on the "week 4" feeding, she just got the "week 6" feed. It had full dose calmag, and the FF crystals (Cha-Ching) but everything else was 50%.

Also thought I would share this find. I don't know how this is possible, but I ordered it quick. Not on prime so it'll take a bit to get here, but DAMN! 100 pots for less than $10 total. Perfect for a bunch of clones! $0.08 per pot.

8-9 weeks seems a standard answer from breeders, I assume that time is based on day being the day flowers start forming?

I think it encompasses all 12/12 time., pistils or no.

Day 31 from flip, 97 days from sprout, still no brown to speak of.
