this is the start of week 8 of flowering, but it looks like my plants still have some time to go. maybe 2-3 more weeks. checked out my scope and they are about 50/50 clear/cloudy. they are really putting on weight and i'm having to stake them up pretty good. seeing slight bud color change and they are starting to get really frosty.

pics didn't turn out as good as i would have liked because of the light being on. i'll take some more later. the last pic is a shot of about 3 inches of new growth that just shot out the top of one of my biggest colas. i'm hoping that it will fill in before they are finished.

what's up, raef?? come join the club........it's great therapy!! actually i'm kinda stuck on this technique because it seems almost foolproof.
it's basically, put some water in a bucket, turn on the lights and watch em grow!!

as for germing products, i don't know of any except for a moist paper towel and a dish to put it in. seeds should germ in 3-5 days from my experience.

the nutes im using are FloraNova grow/bloom, LiquidKool Bloom ripening formula, powder KoolBloom ripening enhancer, hygrozyme, overdrive(bud blood and big bud earlier in flowering)

post up your grow once you get it started!
thanks man......actually got the germ down was wonderin how you been keeping your seedlings until you put them in the buckets. hell yes, looks foolproof. now got to get the nerve to order some seeds, lol.

do you use any nutes on the seedlings or clones.......... and, if no, when do you start them

no.....i do not use any nutes for the first 2-3 weeks. when i start with the nutes, i use about half of what the nute label says to use during the seedling stage. i do use hygrozyme from the very beginning though. and will probably be trying h2o2 to see what that does to prevent algae from forming in my system early on. i only use one basic grow nute during the whole veg period anyway. right now i'm using floranova grow. i've used botanicare pureblend grow nutes in the past with some pretty good results......shit's just too pricey.

these girls sure are beginning to look tasty!! starting to really stink up the place, too, even with the ozone generator. buds are getting rock solid and have real good size........got strings and stakes holding everything up. i'm feeling like this......:hump:!!

they look good... have you tried any fox farms products?

well, this is the start of week 9 flowering for my girls. i would have hoped that they would be a little farther along than they are, but they still look good to me. trichs look like they are about 70% cloudy with no amber. i'm flushing now with just water, molasses and sweet&heavy. buds are so sticky and smell sweeter than candy! i thought they would have more of a skunky aroma but that is ok with me. here are some nice bud shots i got while changing out the water last nite.

i forgot to include pics of my root system. the floranova seems to tint the roots a brownish/reddish looking color but they appear to be healthy and strong. these are 5 gal buckets and the roots occupy at least half the space in the buckets. notice how the roots grow around the air lines and totally engulf the airstones. i wonder if i should avoid allowing the roots to do this next time around??

can't help you there, but plants look amazing. i used fox farms on my soil grows, this will be my first soiless. been watching this thread from the beginning and have enjoyed your posts

gotta be gettin close now....
yup......it's getting real close. 2nd week flushing with molasses and sweet&heavy. girls getting real heavy and are bending over even though they are staked up. buds are changing color and getting real sticky. still about 50/50 clear/cloudy so i'm waiting patiently.

set up my homemade dwc growtub in the flower chamber. two of my clones didn't make it so i only have 4 plants in the tub. they are small but look really healthy. don't know what i'll do to support the plants on this tub because i know the plants will get heavy.

well....things took a turn for the worse!! plants got all limp and droopy on me and just started falling over. went ahead and chopped em down since it didn't look like they were gonna recover. i'm not really sure what caused this, it could be several things........
  1. the molasses and swee&heavy caused rootrot (roots look like shit)
  2. should have continued to use hygrozyme during flush
  3. could have just been time to chop em down

i'm glad it was late in flower and i got a decent yield, but i was looking forward to putting on a lil more weight for a couple more weeks. oh well, you live and you learn.......still got some more supergirl clones in 2nd week of 12/12 in my growtub and i have a couple of citrals i've germed from seed which will hopefully turn out to be fem.

this is what happened to the roots. there were only two days between these two pics and look what happened. roots look horrible and smell even worse! i doubt i'll ever use molasses again. but in hindsight, i should have only used it in two of my buckets and flushed with only water in the other two.

Grats on the grow bro. I have about another to weeks for my SG.

How do you feel about the genetics? I have one really stellar plant and the others are pretty much meh. Did you get alot of variation to?

They definitely are hard and heavy buds, one of my ladies busted the net pot through the lid! I'm gonna get more of those black lids you have.

I'd be interested in yield amounts after it drys.

don't know what the yield will be. buds are kinda heavy. i guess i could get anywhere from 6 - 8 ozs dry. they're all hanging now. at least i didn't have really small popcorn buds like my last grow.

i've been doing alotof reading and i think it was probably the molasses. good for soil not so much for soiless........ anyway, how did the weight come out

i'm very satisfied with the genetics of this bud. all of my plants were identical......but they were all cloned from the same mother, so i would expect that. i believe i lost a considerable amount of yield by having to chop early but i'm still happy with what i got. i guess the bud is about as dry as i want it. still gotta cure for a couple of weeks. flavor and high are both good. the only downfall (if you want to call it that) is that my eyes get so bloodshot red after smoking that i'm paranoid about going back to work after puffing. i'll be walking around all red-eyed and smiling!:eyesmoke: at the moment, i have about 250g dry bud. i don't know if i'll lose anymore weight during the cure. i guess i could have probably gone 350-400g if things hadn't gone bad.

i just think i overfed with molasses and i should have continued adding hygrozyme. mistakes i will not make again!

so you chopped at 9 weeks of flower, right? i have found most supergirl grows to be harvested 8-9 weeks, but you say you would have liked to let them go another week or 2? I am curious b/c I started flushing mine at 6.5 weeks- now at 7 weeks. my first time w/ SG.
